Chocolate coffee works for me.

I probably shouldn't have said "descend" on the person with the largest lot. Sounds so uncivilized.

It's a great book. Has over 800 pages devoted to Disney.

scattered?

Interested in this rally...
so am I seeing this right...no particular loop for all rally attendee's...

I know I am seeing this late, been away...

100, 200 & 300 are near the marina...that's my vote if we will all be together..
if not, how will it be organized to get together?

kmtyme,
Disney does not promise that everyone will end up in the same loop but they try to do so if you request it. There have been a few that have requested specific type loops. Thus far most have requested the same loop. I have requested Disney try to put those who want to be together in the same loop. Those who wish to have a different type loop can certainly do so but may have a trek for the get togethers.

(Something you might want to think about during loop selection, if you are doing the pot luck you will need to remember that you can't drive your truck but can rent a golf cart for extra expense. Or as someone who is renting a cart to pick you up!)

if you have an questions please pm me!

We may want to have a host/hostess site at DW with information as to potlucks, get togethers, any special events planned just for us. Packets upon arrival or a message board could be options as well. I know that Nicki and Shawn will keep us posted as to what we may want to do at DW. Lots of options for everyone to see, do, and take naps.

We will indeed....once the RSVP is done and we tally up all of the votes/interested in's, we'll work on the timeline(s) and start to solicit specific information from all those who will be attending. The net of it all is that we'll mail out an info pack with everything a few months in advance -- it's crazy how much planning you have to do for something like this, even though it's more than a year and a half in advance!!

The "Unofficial Guide to Disney" is also a great book to read - comes out each year with updates.

We just signed up as TAC members and plan to attend the Fort Wilderness rally. We love that campground and have stayed there a few times. Last time we stayed in the 1400 loop and it was close to the Meadows Trading Post and the show and a doable walk to the marina. The size of the spaces are great. We have also stayed in the 200 loop near the marina and it was a little tighter but manageable. The Meadows Trading Post in the middle has a lot of green space and a lot of activities and the loops around it are the premimums. Loop 600 backs up to the water at some sites.

Welcome! Fort Wilderness is really awesome. We went for Christmas last year. When have you been? We stayed in the pet preferred loop and it was gorgeous. We have done the campfire sing-a-long and it is great fun. Have you done the Hoop-Dee-Do Revue or any other show that you can share information about?

If you have any questions or suggestions please pm me!

We were at FW from December 3rd to the 18th in the 1400 loop. Loved all of the decorations. Were also at FW in February of 2010. Have done the campfire sing-a-long twice with various grandkids and love it each time. Have not done the Hoop-Dee-Do but might be open to that one. I am the Disney fanantic and Frank just loves the park. We enjoy walking around the park and also walking over to the Wilderness Lodge. We were in Florida for another event last month without the Clipper and stayed a couple of days at the Port Orleans since we were close and I really missed Fort Wilderness. We do go a lot since our daughter and husband are in the Vacation Club. Each time we try to do different things. I can certainly tell you about some things we have done and places we have eaten. Have done a lot of character meals, events, etc. Feel free to ask.

You missed us by 2 days. We arrived on the 20th and left on the 26th.

How about this... feel free to share anything you feel is worthy. You probably have answers that I don't know the questions to. Share and share alike...right? We will accept advice...

We are Disney Vacation Club members also. I wonder if they'd let us use our points to pay for our spot at the rally?
