was great weather. high 70s no rain. we had friends from Atlanta meet us. stayed at koa. kissimmee. we have disney annual passes and enjoyed all the parks. even though it was very crowded. the Christmas lights are awesome we live about 3 hrs south of disney

We were down for the week before Halloween. Perfect weather - mid to high 70s each day and our entire week was uncharacteristically free of rain. Heard it rained the day before we arrived and the day we left! Can't wait to get back, but we might skip 2012 because the new Fantasyland will not be complete until 2013.

Unfortunately, they are only on track to have the new Dumbo finished at that time. We were told by an Imagineer that they are "way behind" on the larger project.

if you go to the universe of energy ride at epcot. look close when they show the hoover dam. in the far parking lot appears to be two airstreams.

Random thought today...
When you "close" the reservations with Disney, is that when they assign the sites? In other words, if you were to close the reservations (hypothetically) now, would they have a large number of sites available and therefore assign spots close together for the Airstreams in that loop? Or would they still wait until like Oct. to assign sites and there's no advantage to closing reservations early vs. Oct.?

Usually Fort Wilderness does not assign sites more than 1 month in advance and from what I hear usually 1-2 weeks.
I am planning on calling Fort Wilderness and speaking to someone about how they do rallies. The people I know of who do get togethers at the Fort typically do the reservations without the group status and fax site number request into the Fort.... some send in two or three numbers. Maybe I will call in next week and see what they tell me.
So as of right now... I don't have an answer. But I now have an excuse to find out....

Maybe there can be a game made out of finding the three (I believe there are three) Airstreams used for props at DW. The first to have NEW pictures in front of all three win a prize. Of course this would mean that you would have to visit 2 different venues to get all 3. Could be fun. Now - what for a prize?

Are we talking in the context of during the rally, or before it? Cuz there will likely be a few people who are going prior to the rally, and a lot of us who won't be there until the rally.
