Pre Arrival Information/Extended Reservation

I also received the e mail from Disney Meetings. I called the number provided (407 939 4686 ,option 1) and by providing my reservation number I was able to add on 2 nites before and 1 nite after at the group rate. A great deal since the non group rate was ~$30/nite more.

After seeing so many posts on this I decided to cross reference against the rates found in our proposal. I don't want anyone to pay more than is needed. This is what I found for a 6 day park hopper

Undercover Tourist
Adult (10+) $310.95
Child (3-9) $290.95

Kissimie Guest Services had
$314.00
$295.00
KGStickets.com - Disneyworld Tickets

This is what is in our proposal and jives with what I paid for our tickets.
Adult (10+) $283.72
Child (3-9) $261.68

Please double, triple and quadruple check my findings. I don't want anyone having a bad experience with this rally before ever arriving.

Please check with people at the group reservation number if you are planning on getting the dining plan BEFORE you purchase your tickets. Just because Hector says we dont' need tickets to get the dining plan doesn't mean the reservations system agrees with him.

That is sweet. I wish I could talk shawn into a few more days. I didn't get that email for some reason.

She posted twice after my answer, so I figured it was seen and wrong or else missed and needed to be brought back to the top.

I have little patience, especially in absence of alcohol in my glass and jimmy buffet playing.

We just got back from a festival in Amish country where he got to dodge buggies on curvy hilly back roads. Jason's patience is shot for tonight!

Get the man some alcohol and shawn would be lacking in patience as well if he'd been dodging buggies all night.

I'm back, I'm back. Had to get stuff ready for Dad's birthday.

Jason, Steamboat Willie was an animated cartoon character. I am looking for a live person who was the first person to act within an animated film. Personally, I never heard of this person, this company that Walt Disney was associated with, or this animated series.

If you like Jimmy Buffet, search Skiphoyt.com on the web. He is a friend of ours and does Buffet and Buffet-style entertainment. We saw a group last week called The Parrots of the Carribean. Not sure what the website is. Skip would be just right for the BBIII but Parrots are probably too expensive.

I will call Disney on Monday and see if I can get yet another answer about tickets and dining plan. Thank you for letting me know the number to add additional days at our group rate. Hank's sister is willing to babysit the dogs for several weeks so we are coming early and take in Universal.

Will post Monday with what I find out about the above.

OK-here are the answers to the last trivia questions:

Dale is the chipmunk with the red nose.

Virginia Davis is the first "real" person that Walt Disney featured in an animated film. Walt Disney owned a company titled "Laugh-O-Gram" in Kansas City. He hired Virginia Davis in 1924 to star in a live action and animation film "Alice's Wonderland". More information can be found on the web.

Two new trivia questions:

Easy-According tothe song "Chim Chim Cher-ee" some may thinkk that on the ladder of life, who is on the "bottom-most rung"?

Hard-What new "land" in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World opened on June 18, 1988, in clelbration of Mickey Mouse's 60th birthday? (do you know the original name and the other two names it is called by?)

Haven't called Disney yet about the dining plan. I will do so right now.

Just finished talking to Jennifer, Disney castmember. Here are the answers to my questions:

Dining Plan-cost quoted to me was $45.99 + tax per day/per person (adult). This is for the quick service meal, snack, and table service meal. The dining plan must be purchased for the amount of days that you are staying at Disney. If you stay at Disney 6 days-you purchase 6 days on the Dining Plan. The number of days you are staying at Disney is tied to the number of days of the Dining Plan that you must purchase. At the time of your purchase of the Dining Plan you must pay for the DP and the campsite in full. You can make monthly payments on the campsite then add the dining plan later.

Theme Park Tickets-I had Jennifer price 6-days/park hopper passes. The total per person (adult) was $283.72. You may purchase any amount of park passes-NOT dependent on the number of days you are staying at Disney. The cost for the tickets must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Tickets must be ordered and paid for by October 31, 2012. Park ticket payment is not tied to paying the campsite fee in full (as is the Dining Plan).

Additional days-I added several days at Disney prior to our Group Arrival date of November 4, 2012. The cost for the additional days was $65.25-the same rate as the Group Rate. I used the group reservation phone number for which I made the orginal reservations.

I hope I made my post as clear as possible. If not, please PM me and I will try to answer any questions that I can.

Kathy
