Canoeing the Mississippi during MN TAC Rally

Several people have responded with a strong interest to Canoe the Mississippi during our Rally this July. Our plan is to link all of those interested with the company "Clear Waters Outfitting" in Clearwater, Minnesota. Their location is only 5 miles from the Park. From their website:

Why is our (Mississippi River) location so special?
We are extremely fortunate to be located on a special stretch of the Mississippi River and can not help but want to share it with you. Designated "Wild & Scenic" by the DNR, many miles along this stretch are still in their natural state due to the protection, regulations, and zoning that are associated with this title. Very few river stretches have this designation and protection. Because it is a major migratory corridor, and in such a wild state, paddlers will often see eagles, blue herons, egrets, hawks, and pelicans along with many other birds, mammals, and amphibians that call this area home.
This stretch of the river is shallow with a rocky bottom - poor conditions for motor boats but ideal for human powered vessels. With a gently flowing current void of any rapids, dams or falls, the paddling is ideal and the fishing is second to none. Many consider it world class due to the limited motor traffic, access, and special fishing regulations.
We are convinced that you'll enjoy this Midwest gem whether you are new to paddling or a seasoned veteran!

Sure sounds inviting, doesn't it? Join us for our Rally, and consider paddling this stretch of the Mississippi. It sounds so inviting, I wish it was July already!

We signed up, and will look forward to it being a little cooler than that time period in FL. However point of confusion. The choice of sites was "The Pines" vs " Shareholder lot". Since we are not shareholders, I said Pines. Further reflection however has me thinking that I should have said shareholder as in an empty space that a shareholder is short term renting to me. Bottom line is I'd like a site with water, elec, and sewer, if possible. The extra cost dosen't matter. Let me know if I haven't done the right thing here,,, TNX, Snedwid

No problem. I will change your choice to a Shareholder lot.

No payment or deposit required. You are reserved, and we look forward to seeing you at the Rally!

The portion of the MN Airstream Park that some now refer to as "The Pines" is what has traditionally been known as the Rally Sites. The Rally Sites have water and electric, but no sewer though access to a dumpstation is provided. The term "Shareholder Lot" means what you determined it to be - an "owned" lot within the park with water, sewer, and electric that is made available for the rental program while the owner isn't using it. Sorry for the confusion but your feedback will help us adjust the verbiage and website to make this more clear in the future so I am very appreciative! I look forward to seeing you this summer -

David piehl

For me, confusion will always reign supreme, as I have to constantly check where I am and where I'm going. We are currently in So Fl (Loxahatchee) basking in the rain ;-) but will be saddling up soon to head to Nevada/Arizona, with a stop in Ohio at the Airstream factory . Then its off to the TAC-Ohio. While there, we hope to drum up some interest for a Birthday Bash (PA) to TAC-Minn caravan. Maybe we could call it the TAC Goat Dance.

Wonderful! Buddy Brad and I will also see you at the TAC-Ohio Rally in April, so we can also help you drum up support! See you in a few weeks!

Sena Erhrhardt Band Booked for TAC Rally Saturday July 9th!

I am very pleased and happy (make that thrilled!) to announce that we have our band booked for a concert in Becker on Saturday night July 9th! More information to follow, but for now I'm including a link to the band, and a link to a fan generated video posted on You-Tube.

Facebook Band Link here.

You Tube Fan Video Sena Erhrhardt Band here

Our own "GR8DANE" (Steve Dancin Hansen) is the Sena Erhrhardt Band bass player. I can tell you first hand this is one great Blues Band. They are booked each and every weekend in the upper Midwest, and we are thrilled to have them booked during our TAC Rally. The location for this concert is only 5 miles from our Rally location. Again, more information to follow. If you have not yet committed to this rally, it's time to do so! The Sena Erhrhardt Band concert is but one more great reason!

I can't wait for the snow to melt and the 'Streamin' to start! The Sena Ehrhardt Band is very much looking forward to a great summer of music including July 9th in Becker, Mn in conjunction with the TAC Rally at the Minnesota Airstream Park. Tim Singleton, you are the man!

Here's another link to a SEB YouTube video that was shot at one of the premier blues clubs in the upper midwest, Wilbeski's Blues Saloon.

Enjoy and we'll see you at the Airstream Park for the TAC Rally and at Gily's in Becker July 9th.
