Airstreamers:

Four of us Illinois TAC members will be camping at Starved Rock State Park in Illinois from Friday May 13th to Sunday May 15th. If there is interest in other Airstreamers joining us, we could make this the first Illinois TAC rally. The website for the state park is

Glad to see you decided to throw this out there. We are definitely interested. Of course things can change as the time comes nearer, but anytime it's TAC it's at the top of my list.

We could be up for a short weekend.
We are still planning our annual Forum Rally in Pecatonica for the following weekend. We could start there and drop the trailer at Pec. on the way home.
What’s the condition of the State Park reservation system this year? Heard its been “privatized”.

Was there last fall and had a good time.lots of nature trails there and also at Matheson state park about 5 miles away. Winestream, I saw one of your original posts, be careful with the "grape juice" as the park is DRY. Also for the eating, there is Duffy's in town. good bar food. There iare also several :grape juice: stores in town.
Another possible attraction there is JC Whitney; the car,truck, camper toy store.
Back to the camping, there is a reserved area that would be a good place to circle the wagons. From the check in, it is straight ahead, not the one to the left.
Another interest is the I & M bike trail it's about 60 miles long.

I've dealt with the dry parks before. I can put down the sauce in favor of camping.

I didn't know JC Whitney had a retail store. That would be a place to visit, for sure.

tom, maybe we should consider joining these guys at starved rock this spring. amy and i now are bikers, we could use some company (mike and dana...)
Last i heard the pec rally was thinking of a new local... just my .02

New to airstream family. Good to hear something local is going on. Will have to work hard to get "her" roadworthy in time. just north of Chitown, so Starved rock not too far. Will commit soon if we can.

we can't commit yet as we may have an expansion opportunity available. but we would be happy to head to starved rock this spring. so we vot e yes.

We might be interested in this but will have to wait until my work schedule is more known. Where is the campground compared to the lodge? I was at the lodge just a few weeks ago, but didn't see the sign for the campground.
