Well there was only one Airstream in attendance but a great time was had at loudruffs driveway campout / cookout. Glad they invited us and happy to have met artstream. We forgot to take Charlies calender and will have to remember to carry extra copies. Charlie and Belle loved the attention. The hawks where a great nature show right in the back yard. Gotta go off to work now just wanted to say thanks again for the invite.

Driveway rallies are the coolest! Nice people, fun conversation and stories, good food! good campfire! What could be better???!!!! Thanks for coming for the driveway camp in! Larry and I appreciate the company!

Larry and I were sad to see Michael, AKA Artstream, leave the courtesy parking spot this morning. We had a great time visiting and getting to know him. He has a wonderful outlook on life. And we all had alot of fun!

While we were having fun, Larry and Michael decided to tackle a brake job on Artstream's E350 truck. They were able to replace some worn parts and get it all together nicely on a few VERY hot Ohio days. We had to erect some shade to get it done. Looked like hillbilly heaven!

Between all of the brake breaks and shopping, we did some bird watching. Michael took some gorgeous pictures of the pair of baby red tailed hawks that are fledging. This year was the second year that the male and female built a nest in our tall pine tree. Michael did a great job of capturing some of their flights. Here are a couple that I took, but they don't even come close to the ones that Michael got!! Thanks, Michael!

Back on the road and in Illinois today, my visit to the "Loudruffs Driveway Rally" was "spoiling" for this traveling man. Lou and Larry, you two were so welcoming and went way-way out of your way making me feel at home in your spacious , full hook-up driveway!

Larry, thanks for all the chauffeuring around Ohio, for tire and brake parts, not to mention all the expert help in getting all the brake parts back together. Lou, thanks for all the wonderful handmade cards and food, and to you both for all your generosity, warm hospitality, and thoughtful parting gifts!

The whole idea with our courtesy parking is to offer fellow Airstreamers a place to stop by and have a visit. We are, for the most part, stuck at home taking care of my elderly parents. Dad has Alzheimer's and dementia is setting in big time. We live across the street from them. So we figured if we can't get away for many campouts, we would invite folks to stop by and camp here. Camping vicariously through others! Larry worked as we built the house to do the additional electrical, water, sewer tap, wifi etc. Then this summer he added a little fire ring and loads of outdoor furniture.

We have had a bunch of fun in our back yard!!! Michael, that is one great shot of our little hawk baby! Thanks for including it! We hope that you had a good trip with those new brakes. Keep us posted on how it is going on the road. You know that you are welcome anytime! And so are the rest of you!

Guess I forgot to say , Charlie was a model for a calender made and published by Shinim for family and friends. Here is July's patriotic picture. Each month had a theme , I will try to remember to post one a month until You have seen them all.

Candie, Alex, Grace and I were welcomed into their home back in November when I went to pick up the convertible that Larry and Lou found for me!

Oh, I know the Welcome mat is out all of the time for us!

I do not think I am going to be able to make either of the rallies, (Northern Ohio or the X-mas in July), next weekend.

Production at work starts up again this Monday, we were down for the two week shut-down. We have to work most weekends from now until Christmas. Luckily, I put in for the Thursday and Friday of my rally back at the beginning of the vacation scheduling. Now I am at the Production Department's mercy. YIKES!

Great calendar shots, is this a calendar that will be up for sale somewhere? Adorable pooches! What did you have in your driveway Lou an artists commune?

Sounds like you had a wonderful time and quite the set-up for facilities.

EDIT: I see from post # 13 about the calendar. How cool that is. Will be anxious to see the pages of the entire year. What good dogs you have.

I think that most of the AirForums folks that we have met are mostly talented, unique, and creative people. The driveway rally was FUN too.
Al and Shinim, Any photos from your doggie picnic with all of the dachunds this weekend? How did the saddle making go? Just curious. Hope you had lots of fun!
