My wife and I will be there. We went with RV Dry passes.
Lets keep in touch. We'd love to meet up or camp nearby.
I've seen Trampled by Turtles and The Brother Comatose before. Both great. Looking forward to Greensky Bluegrass and Railroad Earth and trying to get up to speed on a bunch of the other acts via Spotify.

Sounds like a plan, however I have an electric RV pass so we might not be side by side but we'll probably be close by. I'll be throwing a Free Bloody Mary Party on Friday morning at Delfest. I highly recommend that you listen to Leftover Salmon, Lake Street Dive and the Gibson Brothers. Also if you know of any other Airstreamers that are into going to music festivals bring them along. Limited RV passes still available. Del Yeah!

We will be sure to seek out some Friday morning bloody marys.
Is it a type of earlier you get there on Thursday the better? Or not really matter when you show up? (were you are placed and such) We will be in the area at Rocky Gap SP before hand so not much of a drive for us on Thursday.

The photos are Great. But...
I have been to hundreds of Bluegrass festivals. The photos look more like a rally than a Bluegrass festival. We should probably try to promote, inform, and warn people on what to look forward to. Know that festivals mean different things to different people. Some go to play music ( late ). Some go to listen. Some go to party, some go to camp, some go to be with friends, some go to meet people.
Here I go with my annoying lists
#1 Delfest is a great festival, great music, great location
#2 Delfest is one of the bigger festivals
#3 As I recall, State Troopers kept things very safe
#4 Expect awesome jam sessions anywhere, everywhere, at any time.
#5 Expect parties to go late
#6 Morning is quiet time
#7 It's mostly about live music, generators and stereos don't mix well.
If you have never been…Know that a huge part of the experience is being able to get close to live jam sessions, or better yet being in a jam session.

Good question. I arrived with two toddlers and a pregnant wife last year on Thursday at 5ish. They didn't have our electric space available at that time, so I would say get there when they open Thursday. The folks there were awesome in finding us a spot in the Deluxe area - so no complaints here. I love this festival. Beautiful spot and festivarians, family friendly, camping (level) on site, festival radio station, friendly volunteers, great music!
We'll look for you guys Friday morning. We're splurging since this might be our last DelFest for a while (moving back to FL from VA) and purchasing a Deluxe grandstand. See you all there!

Let all your Airstream buddies know that the early bird ticket deadline is Monday at midnight. Very limited RV spots available the last time I checked. Check out the brand new Old Crow Medicine Show video "Brushy Mountain Conjugal Trailer" featuring a vintage Airstream trailer. OCMS will rock the Grand Stand Stage. Check out the video

I love their cover of this tune. We saw them perform it at Red Rocks in Colorado this summer. Great night.

First outing at Delfest
We bought a 1966 safari in the Fall and have been renovating her all winter. Delfest will be our first outing! So our first Delfest and our first roadtrip! Would love to meet other airstream owners!

Looks like Jeff Austin of the Jeff Austin band and formerly with the Yonder Mountain Band is on the bill there this year. Jeff is an amazing mandolin player and writer. Catch them if you can, great music. He just recently broke away from the Yonder Mountain group. When he and Dave (the banjo player for Yonder Mountain) lived here they formed the group called The Bluegrassholes........hehehehe, best band name bluegrass.

Ronnie McCoury and Jeff Austin chatting about mandos backstage at the LATE NIGHT STAGE at Delfest. See you on the wild side of the stage!

Rules?
Can't wait to meet everyone!
What are the rules about what you can and can't bring to the campsite (ex. alcohol, glass, generators, etc.)??

Rules
Alcohol is allowed only in the camground area and not allowed inside the concert / stage area. However the Potomac Stage you can bring coolers with booze in them. I would recommend bringing cans and plastic. Quiet generators are cool like a Honda 3000. Construction generators are frowned upon. DEL YEAH!

We have arrived and are settled in.
Somehow we got a spot not near any other RV's. Up on the boat ramp road against the train tracks. I guess we are special.
