How about you buy a bushel from a real seafood place and not FreshBills so the price will be far below .50 per.

We will all split the cost and everyone will smile with the pleasure of eating them and every trailer will be rockin later that night.
It's an order what you want format @ .50 from the harvester.

62Overlander.....thanks. I'm putting a note on my calendar for june next year to remind us to look. When i showed my wife what you had going on she was tempted to cancel all the plans we've unfortunatley made for that weekend. Have a great time. We'll hope to join you next June. But if you find another weekend like this please post it!

If you want to front them that's fine. They'll need ice, etc to take delivery.

We'll be loading up the Gatorade buckets for the group with ice and will have one set aside with crushed ice for the oysters and blender drinks

You can put them flat in your fridge with a damn cloth over them. They'll be happy. Of course 36 could take up a lot of space. They really like shaved ice as long as they don't fall into the meld on the bottom. Do not like fresh water at all. Good for the weekend easily.

Oysters are the peoples food and were a major part of the colonial diet. Likly they cooked the hell out of them.

Order line is still open....

Paul,
On the Rally Calendar we are 15 units, but I don't think Skip is going to make it so if my math is correct and the rally calendat is correct there will be 14.

Shuck It

Oh shucks I think we'll take 2 dozen. I'll need a knife as I usually sit at the bar and watch them shuck 'em for me. Is someone giving lessons????

"Hollywood," as everybody in New Orleans knows him, is the master of the oyster bar at the Acme restaurant in the French Quarter. He is passionate about Gulf Coast oysters and even more so about the proper way to open one. "I've been lobbying the state to certify peoples that open oysters. It is an art, just like being a sushi chef," he bellows. After he showed his technique and schooled me on the New Orleans way to eat a raw oyster (a drop of hot sauce, then slurp it out without your mouth touching the shell. (quoted from Recipe.com)

slurp, slurp

And to think, it all started with you convincing Silvie to eat one with Jane.... Now look at you, a raw-bar junkie convincing everyone else.

Oh the shame

Don't forget the Shanghai Chili Sauce...mmmmm
