We are now at the detroit metro really in MI. We had a great time traveling with everyone in Canada. I can't believe that what was to be a family vacation of one airstream traveling around turned into 4 carlisle, 5 (including Rodger's SoB) caravanning north to Durham, and then 4 caravanning to Doug's. Pinery Park was great. Excellent swimming in lake huron, great camping. Doug: we met some fellow Airstreamers...sent some business your way. Thanks to Doug for really promoting this event to fellow Airstreamers in the area. I hope we can do it again next year. But Chris, you're gonna have to find some more spots if you want 30 of them there!

Hi Jason I hope you have a great time at the DM rally. Well maybe 30 is a bit optimistic. I do have room for 23 if need be. If we plan this far enough in advance I can block all the sites in the park just for the rally.

A few pictures from my collection from the trip. There's more of the tractors than Chris's park, but that's where more action was. Chris's park was filled with lots of wonderful socializing, not so many photo ops. Rodger, if you're reading, thanks for the experience. I hope to visit you again in the future and drive your tractors some more. Maybe next time the boys will be old enough to drive, or at least to hold the steering wheel straight. Mason couldn't be removed from the tractors. You can see that from the smile on his face. There was apparently something in the creek at Rocky Park that Mason loved. I loved the restoration lesson. Thanks Doug, I learned a lot about bucking rivets that I hope to never have to use.

Jason

I would have loved to have joined you on your Ohio rally, then the excursion to Canada and finally on to Detroit. However this vacation was my wife's choice so we camped 65 miles from Lynchburg in a small USFS campground with our 20 month old grand daughter. It looks like you all had lots of fun in Canada. I love the picture of your son looking at the creek. Maybe next year.
