Here are a few of ours. The R69 is a little dusty and needs some work. Hopefully by May she will be ready for the Apple Blossom Festival. The really sweet ride is still in pieces after being powder coated.

The last picture is of the other bike (the one we can ride

) and the previous owner as Jim is driving it away.

As you can see we are addicted to the fixer-upper vintage finds. Jim had a K1200RS but it bored him because it always worked and it never needed to be tinkered with.

Here's my 88. I had a 74 R60/6 and a 78 R100S before this one. Sometimes I miss the Airheads.

Well its is time to get packed up and head out to the rally. We will be leaving tomorrow to drive up to Vermont. Hopefully the weather will say nice for the weekend with no more crazy New England weather.

Here is a front shot of my 03 R1150GS Adventure in Capital Reef National Park. No pics of the 75 R90/6 to post. It is a tough decision when I walk into the garage having to pick which bike to ride. But I think riding the Airhead puts a bigger smile on my face.

But since I just acquired a 1969 Overlander 27, my time has been spent on it and the bikes are just sitting in the garage. And I can't believe I didn't ride to work today which happens to be "Ride to Work day". http://www.ridetowork.org

I have given up the bikes for the Airstream life, or so it seems now. My prior BMW bikes were a 1992 R100GS "bumblebee" and a 1999 R1100RT. I attended the '99 MOA in Rhinebeck with several good friends as well as the RA in Virginia which was probably the most memorable ride I ever did.

The rally was a blast! They had over 9000 register this year which is the most ever. There were also 3 Airstreams parked in the RV parking. We chatted with Firedog at his trailer for a bit as well. The vintage display was also the best ever. There were more vintage bikes on display as well as part of the Nettesheim's collection from his museum. He was also there to fire them up for us.

We also met someone who used to run Airstream caravans into Latin America. He now has a bike touring company that goes through Latin America. His company is called MotoDiscovery (aka Pancho Villa Tours). Some Texan asked...so why you I sign up for your tour if me and my buddies can just cross the border and do it ourselves? He then went on to explain about border crossings, etc and "I did it with 20 or so Airstream trailers, I get 10 motorcycles across."

Got the BC in BMWblue and getting the Rondels put on the backrests, Sweet!
