We're frantically working out to-do lists too... for some reason, things alway are busy the weeks we leave on vacation.
Two dance recitals and a baseball tournament... plus Kelly is on-call this weekend.
It'll be nice to get on the road... hope we don't forget anything.

Leaving Monday morning... spending the night in Pipestem W.V... Next day driving to Gettysburg...Spending the night and visiting Gettysburg, Pa... Spend the night again. Then we will head to N.Y. The plan can change because we are not in a hurry. We will be there on Thursday.
Just a reminder I will bring my generator. I have to use it when I sleep. I have to use a CPAP machine. My generator is a champion 3000 watt /3500 running watt generator.. It's noise level is supposed to be 68db. Make sure you put me where other people will have generators. I do not want to disturb anybody, or put me by an area where I can share. I am willing to share my generator because I don't think the air conditioner will be needed.
Forcast for the event looks like low 80's during the day and high 50's at night. I can't wait because it has been really hot in Atlanta (hotlanta).

Didn't mean to say uncle, it should have said ankle, and frankly, I think I did type it, but must have messed it up somewhere and my computer corrected it with uncle.

Well I made it to the Lansing area last night. Avioded another thunderstorm last night. I stopped in Wisonsin two nights ago at a Casino. The had water and electric for free. I needed the AC to sleep due to the humidity. I will be leaving here Monday for Cleveland. Two days in Clevland and then onto the Bash! See you all soon!
Anyone know of a truck wash when coming in from the north?

Speaking of dirty trucks... Washed the 'Burb this morning. For an 11 year old Chevy that hasn't been cared for with kid gloves, the paint is in remarkably good shape!

on the road to the Bash!
a couple of us are meeting at the Sloatsburg, NY Travel Plaze, which is at milepost 33 on the New York State Thruway - I-87 Northbound - at around 0730 on Thursday morning 24 June 2010.
that'd be about here Sloatsburg Travel Plaza
our next stop will be at the Roscoe Diner for some breakfast, at about 9 am or so, here - the Roscoe Diner, Roscoe, NY
and then, after a good breakfast, on to Baker's Acres!
our whole route looks something like this - Closter to Baker's Acres
though we might elect to continue up Route 17 / I-86 to Deposit before heading "over the river and through the woods".
anyone coming west on I-84 from New England or from anywhere else would certainly be welcome to join us at either of our two planned stops, or somewhere else along the way that will work!
let us know if you're interested?
we're looking forward to being there by or around noon, and spending a glorious weekend with all of you....
best,
