If you need name recognition to promote this rally, you don't need "Wally Byam" OR "Airstream" in the name ..... the name "Rob & Zoe Baker" is sufficient for me. Between his notariety from the VAP and their fantastic rallies they host, I'll pick a Bakers' Rally over any "Airstream" or "Wally Byam" rally any day!! Now, add Frank's breakfasts, and the great co-hosting by Steve and John, you have a winning combination from the get-go. I set an alarm for January 1st so I wouldn't miss out registering for this rally. I don't care what it's called!

Next Please

At the base commissaries, there is an automated voice for the line of people at checkout, that has a list of numbers, that light up and an automated voice that goes "Next Please"...

Out of the 79 registrants, we had two that when emailed, the email bounced. They both registered without a phone number. Google maps searches of their addresses provided were suspect and no way to contact, except the snail mail method. So, we've sent two CERTIFIED letters to handle the situation.

We just received one back, and the top of the Stand-by Queue (NEXT) has been contacted. You're in if you desire. When the next one comes back (it's on a 15 day wait list at the post office and will be here any day now), we'll contact the NEXT registrant on the Stand-by list.

We tried, but we're removing Gudrun Hortensia from the BASH site. These were, we believe, someone trying to mess up our registrations.. well, it did not work!! But thanks for making things interesting. If there is a Gudrun, please contact us.

NEXT please!

I know the place is cool, but even when I was signed onto WDCU spaces were filled for the legendary CBR. A larger site to extend to all wanting to attend would be advantageous.

There's a shop in Norwich, about 7 miles from the Bash Site. Mayhoods Sprting Goods is the name. It's not a dedicated fly shop, but they'll have what you need. Also, this is not Montana! Don't get your hopes up too high. There is, however, a stretch of water that often has trout stacked up. When the hatch is on you can see the bugs rise and watch the fish make their move to get them. If there is still a hatch at the end of June, you'll have a blast. Otherwise, bring your spinning gear or throw streamers.

If you are a dedicated fly fisherman, you might want to consider heading up to the Lake Placid area and fishing the Au Sable around Wilmington, or the upper Hudson River (yes, THE hudson River) near Indian Lake. These places are in the Adirondack Mountains, and it is a spectaular area whether you fish or not.

John

Torturer or tortured? Who gets the most pleasure?

I am going to have a party, and its full, you can't come. We are going to have fun too, oh, and its full and you can't come.

Is it your intent to torture use for 4 more months?

Antsy McClain will appear!

Good news everyone! We are pleased to announce that we've got Antsy McClain making a special appearance Friday night for a nice little "Solo" show! The kids are excited as his Christmas album is his favorite. He's excited about coming to the Bash and we're looking forward to hanging out with him around the campfire.

Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours

Oh, this just keeps getting better.
