Made it Home...
Well, we made it home Saturday evening. It was good to get home. Cowlick, the Guinea Pig, missed Mattie, and I think if I had been gone any longer, the weeds would have swallowed my house.
I will post a few pics tonight, although I took so many, it may be a while before they're all up.

Birthday Bash
I'm actually suffering from withdrawal, from the lack of recent posts describing all the fun and photos sharing all the good times. OK, I know, all good subjects run their time. But, this one rally just appeared to be so very special to everyone attending. I'm really hoping to be there next year, if the creeks don't rise.

Hey Dude, got any of those drippy candles to put in all these wine bottles?
I will openly admit that four of them came from our trailer.

Birthday Bash
Frank said "Some times a picture is worth a 1000 words, some times it is worth more"...and posted the letter of thanks from the local Catholic Charities.
Just one more indication of the overall good intentions of the folks that planned & executed the Bash.

Any word on the BASH overhead picture shirts from the Bash? I figured since there was an example there that they would be printed and shipped relatively soon thereafter???

Well considering Rob's travel schedule and recent gallbladder removal there might be a bit of a delay on those shirts!!

Bash Breakfasts Break Bladder
Birthday Bash Breakfasts Break Baker's Bladder
It has been widely reported that Rob Baker has had his gallbladder removed. When taking his history at the hospital, he noted the recent Birthday Bash and the heavily bacon laden breakfasts. Further investigation revealed that there were inordinate- and possibly illegal- amounts of bacon, steak and other animal fats served at the Bash and consumed by most attendees. However, no other broken bladders have been reported.
Rob has realized the error of his ways and will be serving oatmeal and cream of wheat at all future breakfasts.

I totally disagree with that "over meat laden" remark, it was the Batter Blaster that did him in.

Heck Frank, when I emailed Rob the other day, I blamed it on your bacon!

everything tastes better with bacon. One of my favorite dishes is bacon stuffed tofu, wrapped in bacon.
But on another note, to just put a little hype in the air... we are very close to arraigning next years venue. It is looking like we will have half of an old fashion, family campground in Western PA. There will be showers, rally electric for some, daisy chain water, and best of all room for 115 trailers. Those that prefer to boon dock will have an area that is separate and quiet away from generators at night. For those wanting full 3 point hook ups, that is available just up the hill from the main area. Mr Byam will be 115 years old next July 4th, so 115 seemed like the proper number. We actually could have 200 trailers(no electric) if we wanted. The down side is we won't be able to make a wagon wheel due to a big lake getting in the way. I will be cooking much bacon for everyone that wants. Guard your gallbladders, and strengthen you livers, folks

Steve,
Thanks for the update on Rob and you're very welcome. The plaque is small in comparison to the blood, sweat, energy and time you guys put into the bash.
Wayne & Sam,
A quick statistical analysis (with absolutely no scientific merit) indicates that, with a couple of hundred people eating illegal amounts of bacon, beef and other animal fats and only a single broken gall bladder, Frank's more likely on the right track. Although, given that the Batter Blaster was a most generous donation, I'm thinking we should keep looking for the actual cause. Have there been any liver issues?
Rob,
We're relieved your doing well.
