Beginner Rallies

Hello Everybody, What are the best rallies for newbies to attend to learn about and browse these vintage beauties. I've had a '60 Ambassador for several years waiting for me to get my act together and start the rehab. I need every bit of info starting with the absolute most basic RV 101.
Thanks for all/any opinions.

One of your best betsó if you can wait that longó is the annual Canopener rally, held in January each year at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, Santa Rosa, FL. The open house is a key feature of the rally, where you can visit other Airstreams and see what has been done to them.

Actually the Vintage Airstream Club is composed of 12 independent regional clubs of Wally Byam Caravan Club, International (WBCCI) and there are rallies throughout the United States and sometimes Canada. The VAC rally referred to below is held by the Rocky Mountain Vintage Airstream Club (RMVAC) and this year the rally is in Westcliffe, CO from July 7 to 10. You must be a WBCCI and VAC member. Registration will be available on March 1 on the RMVAC web site.

Bill thx for the better explanation for VAC. Looking forward to a Rocky Mountain gathering myself.

Air Midwest rally is a good beginning rally. Very informal, very friendly. There is a thread on Air Forums about it. No WBCCI or VAC requirements. The next one is being held on April 14-17 in Eureka Springs AR. I also recommend the WBCCI VAC rallies.
