Frank,
Do you guys have kids' activities as well? I plan on bringing my five and nine year old daughters, just curious. Naturally, I'm happy to also come up with something. I could host a movie night with a screen, projector, and sound, for example.
Cheers,
Jim

Sounds like you just stepped into it!!! Adult/ teen movie night is good too, or a later night feature.
No worries on the kids. There will be tons for them to do. There will be girls of the exact same age as yours(one will be mine) and the campground is the perfect setting for them to just be kids.
Mistakes you/they might make;
*not saying "hey my name is_____" soon enough.
*not bringing the bikes, skate boards, scooters, hammock, the ______, and the ______.
*having an early bed hour. My kids were out the door at breakfast and falling asleep at the campfire in my lap. They sometimes come around and grunt for a lunch. More often they come with a group all saying" We're hungry. Can we have a snack?"
which leads to a huge mistake
* not stocking enough snacks for the kids to come and clean you out of. This applies to juice boxes, soda, bottled water, and anything they can dribble down their shirt and all over your trailer.
which leads me to an even bigger mistake;
*letting the kids find out you have candy. That is almost as foolish as letting them see where you hide it.
But to answer your original question Yes, and glad you want to be a part of it.

where will your trailer be located?
What time do your girls wake up?
How soon can we send the kids to visit you?
Any chocolate? Where do you hide the chocolate?

where will your trailer be located?
It is in the yard as we speak. In a half hour, Aceflys will be staying in her while he puts in some hours at FTW. At the Bash I will be on the Eastern Half of the lake.
What time do your girls wake up?
Halle wakes up when she smells the bacon coming from the breakfast area. Ava used to also, but since she was afflicted with the teens, it is when we force her.
How soon can we send the kids to visit you?
Any time silly, my door is always open and we love visitors. You will(briefly) see your kids at breakfast and at dinner. They run in wild(but surprisingly well behaved and polite)packs. They also turn up when one of them gets hold of a dollar to ask for one of their own so they can go buy a grape, orange, wild cherry, root beer slushy from the store. The store is deadly on a parents wallet. Everything they stock appeals to them.
Any chocolate? Where do you hide the chocolate?
We don't hide it. If you hide the chocolate the kids find it. I eat it and tell them to go pound salt.

Trip planning
Hello Y'all,
As I have been actively reading every word of every post of this thread, but haven't participated in the banter much, (lurking) I figured I should let you all know how I'm working to try and fit this into our long summer vacation.
This Bash has been on my list of things I must do since the first time I heard about the FIRST Bash on the VAP. The excitement of Airstreamers of all kinds getting together and having fun is something to behold! Talk of making rockets, home made fireworks, singing around campfires, kids running around being kids, breakfast by Frank, has me wondering how could we not attend?
So, how far is it from Yellowstone to Slippery Rock?
Here is my planned route. 5,239 miles.
Still some planning to do. But the plan centers around BASH III!

Lance, I have kin in Cody Wy and Big Sky Mt. Both are kind of gateway towns for Yellowstone. Let me know if I can put you in touch with them. There are many campgrounds overlooked by those going to Yellowstone. Hope the Bash can be a part of summer trip.

Thanks Frank! In the Army we have an unwritten rule that when a "plan" is briefed on a powerpoint slide three times the same way, it then becomes an "order". So I only have to brief the plan two more times

Frank and Ace,
We just took delivery our beautiful 28' International CCD. I think I put down 30' in my registration form or something like "TBD" as we did not yet have one, was hoping you could update my registration.
A small request might be to be placed near Frank (the only person I know so far) so I can introduce the kids.
Thanks
