It would be interesting if some one would actually measure the current as I have found most name plates are much on the high side when they list
wattage. Probably to allow for start up load which motors and cold heating elements have

300 watts seems like a lot of power for the heater . That is what a refrigerator draws and look how hot they get boiling ammonia.
Any one got a Kill a watt meter and one of these devices that could get a real number?

This is all theory for me as I have never used one of these. In fact I don't think I have ever seen one which should qualify me as an engineer in this area.
Rick... you are right. I reality, for many folks, the draw would not reach the max. For the cpap, the power usage is dependent on the pressure requirements of the individual. Most machines can be set for pressures between 4-20 cm H2O... so the range is 5 fold. The heater would be dependent on the ambient temps... so in the summer, it would likely not fire up as much if you are starting with room temp water.

I hope this info helps any folks that have a concern.

I am going to have to see if our local bakeries have them. I feel like eating again after having my gall bladder out last Wednesday.

No registration has been posted yet. The plan is to open registration around the 1st of January 2012. We will keep everyone informed. Just to let everyone know we are limiting The Bash III to 50 Airstreams. The Bash II attendees will have the 1st shot at the slots. Then it will be open to all Airstreamers. We feel keeping the number at 50 AS makes it much more manageable.

Ace in PA,

Does that mean limiting to the first 50 Airstreams excludes vintage kin? I would think so, but just making sure.

Thanks!

Frank,
When are you going to move one a little more West? Say Washington State?

Washington State would be an awesome Bash location as would Montana and 48 other States for that matter. Unfortunately, the distance makes, ME hosting one there very very difficult. Perhaps someone else will step up and host one out there. Franchisees are available

As to spaces, the venue is vast. However, we want the event to be intimate just as it has been both times previously. Every effort will be made to accommodate all those interested, however we do not want this to be an event on the scale of Alumipoluza. This is a family reunion style event.
Both years have shown us that many that sign up have issues come up and need to cancel. Those on the waiting list were all able to make it, due to this. Don't sweat the numbers, put it on the calendar, plan on coming.

Just to not set false expectations, but to make everyone aware... For the most part this will be a boon docking rally. There will be water easily available and we will give everyone two pump outs during the week(end). There is no electric in our area. There will be a zero generator area for those annoyed by said generators. Every where else they will be allowed during the day. There will also be an area for those needing to run the generators all night. You know who are and together you will all be able to work out the logistics of sharing. There are full hook ups available up the hill if you just have to have full hook ups.
Do not worry about BOON DOCKING!!! Your trailer was designed to be used this way. Honor the man who built our trailers by proving it can be done and done with class. Fifth Avenue on Wheels. If you have never done it, allow yourself the divine freedom of unhooking fully.

Vintage kin are very welcome, as are any type of trailer or tent, however understand, this is an Airstreamer event. You will not be shunned by the group, but might not be parked front and center. Many Scotty trailer enthusiasts attended this year. They were a great part of the event and blended right in. This coming year the National Serro Scotty Organization is holding their event at the same time as us. The two groups will most likely have some events and dinners together. There will be no lack of trailers for sure to see, as they will be all the way around the lake this coming year.

We are very excited for Bash3. I have been talking to a number of musicians and bands.
A BIGG grASS BBQ will take place for sure too.

Having been at Bash II and gotten to know the lay of the land, that picture means a lot. I'm assuming that was shot during the renaissance fair that's held there? That's a lot of friggin' campers in that picture!
