Hello friends and followers!
Well, Don and Jim are usually up pretty early... Cheryl sometimes as well. Me, not so much.
But I enjoy seeing the pictures while sipping my coffee around 8:00 a.m.
Yesterday the four of us ventured downtown (maybe 4 or 5 blocks) and scoped out the shops and eyed places for potential dinner. We saw a number of people eating at one restaurant right on the front road by the water that also had wifi... we all thought that looked like a real potential. So later we walked down and had dinner. Lots of nice choices, and the waitress took pity on us for our severely limited Spanish and the owner type came over to help answer our questions as he spoke very good English. Jim tried the wifi but didn't have much luck. But after a big dinner and beer we were happy to just bask in the quiet and walk back to the camp spot.
Today Don and I found a internet cafe. Only 1/2 block from where we are camped. Excellent ... coffee only $1 US, and high speed service. So we are in hog heaven! Outlets at the tables and all...
There must be something in the air here. Last night after dinner we were all tired from our hard day of doing much of nothing... so by 8:30 or 9:00 we were all snuggled in our beds, trying to stay awake to read our books. I made it to 9:30 and kept falling asleep so I gave up. Better than sleeping pills. :P
Don and Jim have been painting some and Cheryl has a number of hand work projects she works on. I thought I would be productive for a few minutes today and started to wash the windows in the truck, but it was in the sunshine and the windex seemed to dry too quickly... at any rate I abandoned the project until "mañana".
Wish more of our airstream friends could be enjoying this with us... but I guess we will suffer a bit longer....
