We're fired up Abe. Just returned from WalMart with two new camp chairs and an aluminum folding table for the grille. The Airstream is still in the shop for mods and de-winterizing. We have a nasty early spring storm with hail headed this way tonight so our dealer offered to haul our baby over to our covered storage and then haul it back in the morning to finish up. Nice huh?
Much to our dismay, we found out this afternoon that our Sleep Comfort bed was the incorrect size so the company is sending us some UPS labels for a return and exchange. We've slept on the hard old Airstream beds for almost two years now so I guess two more weeks on them won't be all that bad. We're making our pre-flight list and checking it twice. I can almost hear old DW calling out; "Boogety, boogety, boogety.....lets go racin' boys!"
Looks like the propane tanks need to be full , the 7 day forcast has the highs of 50s and lows in the 30s , i sure hope its better than last spring, you talk about cool BURRRR

Propane tanks are full and it looks like some of that white stuff may be flying up there mid-week! Yipes! We're leaving Texas today ahead of a major rain event, thank God! Last thing to go into the closet is a good, heavy jacket along with some rain gear. BRRRRR. Hope to see some more aluminum in the camp grounds. Drive safe everyone.
Hopefully it will warm some by Sunday...
We are going part way on Tuesday night and going to meet up with ZoominC6 on I-81 and Caravan in to Bristol on Wednesday!!!
See you all there!!

We'd love to see ya! We pulled into Nashville in the dark last night and lo and behold spotted three other Airstreamers camped in the KOA we're staying in. We need to look around this morning to see if there are more. What fun seeing all that aluminum. We'll be heading into VA to see the Grands and then back down to Bristol mid-week. Brrr, it's cold up here. We used some information gathered from this great Forum and bought a convection box heater prior to leaving Texas. It certainly keeps our Airstream warm without burning propane! We're paying for the electricity so why not? We hope to see all of you soon in THUNDER VALLEY!
On our way!!
We are leaving Richmond around 5:00 pm tonight and hope to make it to Shakers (a restaurant in Roanoke VA) for dinner. Catfish special on Tuesday night. We love to tell the staff we are spending the night in the parking lot when we order drinks (they almost always say they have heard that one before... then we show them the Airstream...
We meet up with Zoomin on Wednesday at exit #101 on I-81 for our first caravan!!!
Come see us at All American Campground!!
Will post photos when we get back!! <-- us watching the cars at Bristol...

Looking forward to seeing you and Melissa, Abe. We were leaving Blacksburg for the state park last night in a snowstorm. The Airstream was covered in a white icing when we arrived home in the dark. This morning it turned to rain, mist and now a light drizzle. Bring warm clothes to THUNDER VALLEY! We'll see you at the 101 exit on 81 an hour after your call. There's an omlette shop there if you're still hungry after all the catfish tonight
