I'll be prepping the truck and trailer this weekend. Chasing a problem with the right turn signal on the trailer. It's extremely weak when illuminated, so I think it's poorly grounded. I fixed the same problem on the left turn signal in the spring.

I'm heading out Wednesday, traveling up US-411, crossing over through Athens and Spring City, and staying the night in Crossville, TN. I'll continue up US-127, pass through Columbia, KY and roll into Elizabethtown on Thursday. Avoiding interstates this time, since I have the time. And not having to deal with the climbs in and out of Chattanooga and Monteagle. Should be quite the view on the country roads at 45-50 mph.

How long will you be staying? We hope to make the concert, but it's going to be a long week for us, if you are still in the CG on Sunday, I would like to see your Travelall.. When I was a kid my dad set one up as a camping mobile, we did thousands of miles in that thing.. once my two brothers got bigger, we graduated to a real RV. But that old International, and the (I kid you not) Studebaker Lark camper conversion before it, sticks with me. My dad is pretty handy, and likes to not only think outside the box, but does his best work there..

We are pulling out sometime Sunday. Usually, we hit the road at first light. We'll be towing with the Travelette. The Travelall needs front end work before it can safely run the roads again.
If you arrive early enough on Saturday, you are more than welcome to take it for a spin.

Ike T set the bar quite high when he mentioned costume. I don't exactly have a costume but I have plenty of polyester. Why.... I wear it every day - doesn't everyone?
Wide lapels? Florals? Plaids? Plaid with stripes - now that's the best!
This is going to be one fun show. Now if the weather will just smile on us for a few days. Chilly I don't mind. Please.... no rain.
Rhonda - any news from your side? Hope you are still planning to be there. We should arrive mid to late day on Thursday.

We are going to disappoint. Our costumes will be made of cotton.

I just checked the weather prediction for Elizabethtown and it's going to be chilly. Maybe too cold for my short-sleeve polyester shirt. I checked the attic storage for alternatives but everything is for summer rather than winter... What's a guy to do?

Whatever it is, "clothing optional" is not an option.

Still coming! My computer took a dive so I've been out of touch for a few days. I hope Bob is still holding my tickets. His address was trapped in my computer!! I feel like I've been in the stone ages without the internet.
Just a few more days. I received an email from Antsy indicating he is playing a solo show on Friday night in Frankfort, KY. Frankfort is about a 1 - 1/2 hour drive from Elizabethtown. Anybody crazy enough to go to both shows?
We saw him solo a year or so ago and the show was very good. More acoustic, more introspective, a little slower pace when compared to a show with the band.

We've decided to stay with family in Frankfort, so we won't be at the campground. We'll still be at the dinner and concert Saturday, so hopefully we can swing by the campground prior to showtime.

Ike T - thank you for the update. I understand your hesitance to drive in the rain. I'm not looking forward to it either (we leave tomorrow), but it's beginning to clear so I am crossing my fingers and hoping for good weather.
What about the Friday show? I'm still interested and so is Danielle. Call us and let us know your thoughts about Friday - the coffee house / solo show will be very intimate compared to the Saturday show.
Rhonda - when are you arriving at the campground? I may have said earlier (above post?) that we will arrive on Thursday afternoon/evening. We have a commitment on Thursday evening but Friday is open and so is Saturday. Let us know your plans. Are you and your husband crazy enough to attend the Friday show in Frankfort?
We will not have access to internet beginning tomorrow (Thursday) AM. After that you'll need to contact us by cell phone.

It will be late Friday when we arrive. I have tried to talk him into leaving work early but I have not been able to convince him. So a Friday show would be out of the question. I guess I have probably failed to mention the whole family is coming so we have kids in tow! I know I'm crazy but I've been wanting to attend a concert for a while and didn't want to wait until January.
We're home safely. We did "double duty with Antsy". The differences between his solo performance and performance with the band made seeing both shows worth it.
Good to catch up with everyone on both nights. Next time, we'll make it a point to camp.
