Saturday's wind and rain couldn't stop the party. It was a good day to get Airstream service, fly a kite and listen to some great seminars like Andy Thompson's physics of towing.

This morning it's clear and cool but starting to get windy. That's too bad because it keeps the flags in storage. Unfortunately all my good photos are on my camera until I get home and you're getting the iPhone shots.

Kelly tests out the CanAm Taurus/International 23' to see if she wants to start towing her International 16' with her own Taurus.

We're leaving in a few minutes to head back home. A great time was had by all, and it was a lot of fun meeting our friends, old, new, and friends we've only met through the internet.

For those that seem to be confused about this (and there were a few), this is not a WBCCI function, and wearing your club badges instead of your Alumapalooza badges creates confusion over whether you are a Alumapalooza attendee or just happened to show up while getting your Airstream repaired at the service center.

I think they knew that!!!

I am confused as to why it matters what badge one has on. I thought the nonWBCCI people disliked badges. Just a thought. Jim

Here is a Quote I heard this week from Pee Wee Schwamborn "Keep the road straight, the sky clear, the glass full, good friends and the laughter loud" I must say, I saw alot of glasses full & Lots of Laughter so Airstreamers are following this Motto!! Thanks, Pee Wee great to see you this week.

Allows the event organizers to avoid "drop ins" who do not pay for Alumapalooza. Registration fee for the Alumapalooza week was $70/adult. The event organizers (from AirStream Life) had some significant expenses for the event tents, PA and projector system, electrical services for trailers, music acts, event administration and staffing, event t-shirt, etc. So, wearing the Alumapalooza hangtag/badge was a reasonable way, IMO, to assure that everyone attending the seminars and other Alumapalooza activities had actually paid the required registration fee.

This was my first Airstream gathering and I learned a lot about Airstream trailer selection, TV choices and setup (thanks Andy Thompson!), Airstream history, current production practices at the Jackson Center factory and (most important) Airstream owners' hospitality. Well worth the $70 registration.

Bob
