Happy Hour by the Numbers
Announced at Happy Hour - there were 70 trailers/motorhomes already parked. And as the first door prizes were drawn more Airstreams were pulling and self-parking.

We're expecting another 12 trailers Wednesday and about 50 on Thursday. Total expected: 127 trailers, about 300 people. Anyone who is coming: just park yourself and get your credentials & goody bags at the 4 pm Happy Hour.
Despite a foggy start, it has been beautiful today and things are looking good!

Rich,
I live local to Jackson Center and will not be able to make the festivities due to work and family commitments. I do have an hour or two free on Saturday and would like to come to the swap meet. Do I have to pay to get into the swap meet? If so, how much?
Thanks.
Tom

Sorry, the only event open to the public is the Open House mid-day Saturday. If you buy a pass for $60 you get access to everything: Swap Meet, two meals, seminars, door prizes, and entertainment. If you can, try to come for the entire day!

That might be the incentive I need to make a day of it. Thanks Rich.

I'll be down Sat morning. I'll try and look you up. I am looking for a set (4) of original aluminum wheels for my '78 ambassador.

Lots more AS are due in tomorrow = more fun!!
We've been non-stop busy in such a good way!!!
No one here is frowning, and I was not alone in the AS store.

Look us up
Hi Paula and Karen,
We are in the third row, 5 or 6 down. You will spot our sign and the tan van. The rains showered a bit on us, but so far so good. Larrita has not been sighted this trip. We are having fun anyway. The "do-ins" get going early here tomorrow. We have a vendor doing breakfast on the corner, there are to be donuts somewhere very early...like 7 or 8 a.m. and then yoga starts. Programs at 8 a.m. for Skymed, polishing at 9. Hope you get here bright and early.... LOL! Be safe. See you soon.

Hi Rich,
Just finished your blog updates. The storms sound scary but it seems everyone has a great attitude and determined to have a good time. I hope the entire event turns out to be a complete success!

Love the yoga poses of Eleanor and Rich. That's possible??? Artstream on percussion for the Alumapalooza Anthem and the trio of voices was funny.
Kathy thanks for posting pictures regularly too.
Glad you all didn't wash away in the thunderstorms. So far so great.

I think we are all having too good a time here at the Alumapalooza to post pictures, but here are some quick snaps I took between all the fun!
1. Lisa, ME and Elnore sporting a "Bed Time is just more fun in your own trailer"TEE SHIRT.
2. My trailer stuck in the mud and pulled out with a tractor.
3. A BOWLUS Road Chief
4. My art Booth at the Alumapalooza with my friend Summer showing off!
5. The "Bed Time" Tee

Great pictures, guys! Wish we could have joined you, but will soon be up to our elbows in family for the annual weekend gathering.
Have a wonderful time, and hello to all from us.

Woke up to another beautiful day here next to the David Winick "Beautiful" Vintage Airstream......Old Aluminumn that Shines better than Newer Aluminum....It doesn't get any better then this....An older Bowlus next to a restored Bowlus.... What a way to see the creativeness and get a feel for all that can be done to restore these treasures.
Both have signed into the TAC (The Airstreamer Club) and belong to the Tin Can Tourist, and WBCCI (those with Airstreams) today will be another interesting day with talks from Colin Hyde on Vintage Restoration. This is the place to be!!!!!!!!!!
