hey roger

i'll bet there is a walk in (no camping) option too... (gotta check the faqs)

tours, food, seminars, music, apple bobbing and jackson center daze....

that would make 4 a nice way to spend the day, maybe.

cheers

The walk-in rate of $60 per person applies if you want to get the full goody package: seminar admission, dinner on Saturday, door prizes, discount coupons, Swap Meet, etc.

It's a pretty good deal, but if you just want to drop by, walk the grounds, and visit with people -- well, socializing is free!

We might come to socialize. I would love to meet some of the posters here . Seminars would be nice, but only what I have interest in. We have lots of time to decide whether to attend or not. We have been on the factory several times so we pretty much know what goes on there.
When you get a handle on what seminars will be offered and if I can pick one or two. Please pm me with the details.
I would give you more insight to our situation but you don't except PM's
Carry on We hope its a big Success

Hope you can make it, Roger and MaryLou. Like you, I'd love to see as many of my hitherto faceless friends in person!

When I went to International last summer, meeting other forums members that I've been talking with (in some cases, since 2004) felt like meeting distant cousins for the first time.

Roger, I hope you can drop by. Like Brad said, it's always great to meet folks from the Forums.

Unfortunately we can't offer admission to only selected seminars. It's an "all or nothing" deal because once you have a badge and a bag you've got full access to all seminars, dinner, entertainment, door prizes, etc.

The seminar schedule will be posted in 2010, but probably not too far in advance. At this point about 15 presenters are on the schedule. Last year at Vintage Trailer Jam we found that if we released draft schedules, people assumed they were final (even if we labeled them in red as DRAFT) and got upset if we changed anything later. Other people wrote in and asked us to move things around to accommodate their schedule! So this year we will release the schedule only when it is as close to final as it possibly can be.

I can tell you this: if you plan to drive over just for one day, come on Friday or Saturday. Every day of the schedule is going to be jam-packed, but those two days will have some particularly special events.

Since we don't use the PM system, anyone wishing to contact the organizers with comments or questions can reach us at info (at) alumapalooza (dot) com.

Talking

I will be there too!

I will second Brad that meeting our forum friends is always fun. You get to put a face to a screen name and get to interact in real-time...

I know it will be lots of fun! We are still coming up with more fun things to do, seminars to attend, etc. You can also follow along on Facebook. Just friend "asl alumapalooza"!

Looks interesting but a little to pricey for me also. Problem would appear to be with the camping cost rather than the per person fee.

Smile Alumapalooza

Circumstances are looking better for us knowing if we can attend. Keeping fingers crossed - I can't wait. I know a lot of time, money, effort and energy will be put into this event . . . making attending very worth while.

My question is what do you get for $81.00 a day per couple. That is more than a caravan costs per day. Good sam's rally are half that per day.

I suppose it does seem a bit pricey for an event with rally electric and water or BYO generator, but there should be a lot of silver on site. I figure it should be kind of like a WBCCI Regional Rally, except without the hook-ups and all those meetings and rules. In addition to the website, I also found he press release to be somewhat informative:

http://airstreamlife.com/files/2009/...ss-release.pdf

Bet you don't get this at a Good Sam Rally:

"...a unique speed-dating format called Silver Swingers."

Then, there's the FAQ's. That's where I discovered the difference between the actual dates of the event - June 1st - 6th, and the "base price" of three days.

Airstream Life ╗ Alumapalooza FAQs

We're already signed up and are traveling out with some fellow Airstreamers. Should be a hoot.
