Got home about 6 this evening, great trip with no problems.

The caravan and rally were wonderful fun, it was a superb weekend with lots of old friends and many new ones, great food and unique Airstreams.

Many thanks to Steve, Amy, Peewee, Mike Johns and everyone else who worked so hard to pull it all together and make it a truly memorable event. Great pictures, everyone!

It was truly an unequaled success!!!!

I'll get pictures posted tomorrow!

See you in Branson!

Those ultra wide angle shots are really something. Thanks for uploading them.

The 10mm lense is dramatic but one of my favorites is you, Soldiermedic, Suguarfoot & PeeWee plus the 2 dogs romping.

50th Anniversary Cape (Town)To Cairo Caravan and Rally

I don't feel like I had any drive at all - - departed Cape Girardeau RV Park at 11:10 a.m. and arrived home at 11:50 a.m. What a fantastic time we all had . . . well planned and executed. . . it was impossible not to have fun . . . and as always, I picked up some more knowledge from Pee Wee's question and answer session.

The photo below is of one of the last to arrive before the Caravans departure from the Shawnee Sports Complex, West End Boulevard, Cape Girardeau, MO. It was so much fun to see another '64 Overlander on the Caravan:

In the photo below, Caravan Departure is Imminent -- Shawnee Sports Complex, West End Boulevard, Cape Girardeau, MO.

In the photo below, the Caravan has just arrived at Fort Defiance in Cairo, IL.

A most memorable caravan and rally experience!

I'll live . . .

. . . but this morning I wasn't so sure. Thanks everyone, for your well wishes. I've slept all day and I'm doing much better than when Airstream Hobo talked with me. Many thanks to Amy and Steve for setting things up so I could stay one more night without moving the Airstream. I'm feeling well enough to probably leave in the AM. To ease anyone's mind who may be concerned, I DO NOT have the flu. Just a nasty upper respiratory virus.

Wow, the photos are great, everyone's! This rally was awesome. Steve and Amy, you really know how to put on a production. The Cape to Cairo caravan is certainly one to remember. Only those who have done it know the thrill of seeing an endless line of Airstreams in the rear view mirror caravanning with you.

We got home about 6, after stopping on the way home at our other picnic. We had a nice afternoon, stuffed ourselves at yet another potluck and then headed home. I don't want to know how much weight I gained this weekend!
The cactus club loved the cake.

My family had a blast thanks to all for making our first Rally/Caravan a very memorable one. I enjoyed meeting everyone and hope to see everyone again. We made it home at 3pm and I'm now in Dallas for the next 4 days.

I just returned from lunch with Pee Wee and Sugarfoot (Who is feeling much better). They have just hit the road and plan to stop in Terra Haute or Indianapolis. Going to look for courtesy parking for them.

I will also upload my photos within the next hour.

What we saw

Here is a picture taken by Amy that I found while uploading. Your view from the front.

There should be another hundred of so photos on Tinloaf's website now.
