It's fantastic!!!! I've been polishing on it all day. I go inside for a break but, end up out side 5 minutes later to look at it. Many months of waiting was definitely worth it, Jimmy did an great job. I can't wait to show it off at the caravan. We might make it to boondock but we'll just have to see. How's your trip coming? I hope all is well.

Yum!

I just noticed Cosmotini's "Spamatizers" .... Yum, can't wait to have some of those! This will be an interesting potluck based on the list so far. How fun!

Update

On the way home from Chattanooga, TN, we decided to alter our route, and we went across western Kentucky over the Ohio River, and into Cairo, IL.

We passed Fort Defiance State Park and the river confluence for the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. What I saw looked much smaller than what I had seen on overhead maps on Google. I am hoping that Tin Loaf can chime in on this since he is Mr. Geography. I hope we have the room to turn around in this area. I am still trying to reach someone (anyone) in the Cairo area.

After Cairo, we went up to Cape Girardeau and pulled into the RV park for another face to face, and to get an idea of where sites would be for us. The first thing I received was good news. The other rally that was booked for the same weekend as ours had canceled. This opens up the recreation center for us, and many other parking spots. No more worrying about rain on Friday night at the pot luck, and we will have it for the entire rally. I will contact the parks and recreation department to cancel the pavilion rental at Kiwanis park. This will also be nice so people don't need to worry about unhitching if they don't want to, and we don't have to relocated for meals.

The only bad news I received was that an SOB MOHO who originally had booked for only a few days had decided to stay for a month. When told they would be in the middle of a big rally they replied that they didn't care, and they would just make themselves part of our group. I told the RV park that I would personally pay their night's fee if they relocate, but the lady at the desk said that the SOB was a true SOB (We aren't talking Same ole Box folks), and that they wouldn't be moving. Below is a map of the open sites. The row on the far left is A row, and the next is B row. We can fit all of the trailers in A row except one or two, but we would have that SOB in the middle. Another alternative is to take all the sites above the SOB, and all the B row sites below the rec center. All the open sites are pale yellow, so we can do whatever we need, but it would be easier to stay in a sequence.

I'll take everyone's thoughts on the matter if you have one, but the splitting of the group into 2 long rows seems to work the best.

Steve, we'll go with what you think makes sense since you've actually been onsite and are looking at what's available from a rally perspective. We would have no problem being next to the SOB if you want to surround the Moho.

Do not worry about the man who will not move. Some people do not realize it but in life he will get his. I woulld tell him your terribly sorry that he is not accomodating and what comes around goes around and not being cooperative will come back to haunt him. Have fun at the rally!

Hey Nancy,

I know several photo hounds that will be taking many pictures at the rally as well as the local media documenting the event. Perhaps I was hoping to maintain the purity of gleaming in the pics. If we surround the MOHO, we will also be parking all the way down next to the other SOB as well.

Purity of gleaming aluminum is kind of cool in pics.

Kani and Jack want the spot south of the rec center if possible, so we have one for 2 uninterrupted rows of silver.
