Unfortunately I get to work all weekend... so no where, though maybe loudruff's backyard. On the bright side, its a bigger pay check (gotta love holiday pay) so more camping later. Hope those of you roaming have a safe and fun time! We await your pictures!

Camping with some forum friends at Vernonia Oregon Airport Park which is not on a airport but a lovely wooded campground with a creek running though it. JD will bring pie's so join us if you have nothing else to do. Even a 4th of July parade in Vernonia

We're taking our '06 up to Penn Wood so our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson can have an Airstream of their own for the weekend and we can have our '87 to ourselves in the evening
Pictures to follow when we get home on Sunday evening.
Everybody have a safe and happy Independance day .

We're pulling our trailer a half mile down the road to our campground on the river that's now been in use for our family reunion since 1935. As we've aged, we've bought the ranch this campground is on and are now therefore, its owners and responsible for its maintenance and upkeep as well as being the hosts of this reunion each year. When the Fourth of July occurs during the week we may only have 75-80 family members show up, but when the Fourth occurs on or near a weekend as it does this year, we can expect to host close to 200 friends and family members. That is the number we are expecting this year. We have installed major upgrades to our facility's restroom while installing a swing set, new larger capacity electrical lines, lights and many more upgrades in anticipation of this year's reunion. We're taking the trailer down to the campground so that any of our elderly, or younger members who might need to cool off will have a place to do so somewhere other than in the river. We have large fans with misters scattered throughout the park and the entire park is solid shade from our ancient pecan trees, but for some this may not be sufficient in the Texas heat of summer; therefore the trailer.
This the park where my trailer is pictured in my avatar. We have two 30 amp sites with water and a complete full bathroom on site with hot and cold water so there is little need for sewer though that is something we are thinking of installing in the near future for the RV sites. We offer courtesy parking at this facility except for during the Fourth of July weekend as it is mowed and maintained throughout the spring, summer and fall months on an every two week schedule.

Oh, I wish! Alas, we're going to be chock-full here, so we'll be full-timing it for a while. The hope is that business will slack off some by the beginning of August so that we can go to RM-VAC.

We are making a quick drive over to Fort Yargo State Park outside of Atlanta (our home) for a three day weekend! We love staying in the "new" to us rig so much that any trip will be great! This will be our last test trip before the long long drive to my folk cabin on Boot Lake in Northern Minnesota. We seem to have worked out most of the issues. This weekend we are installing FLOR carpet tiles so it is a bit of a working vacation! We promise that there will be NO MESS outside the rig, so any other campers will not even know we are sprucing up the floor. We will leave town with all the carpet ripped up and the floors ready to have new tiles laid down. I expect a lot of cutting, but the install should be pretty easy.
So if anyone is at Fort Yargo, feel free to stop in and say hi if you see a 28' Argosy MoHo.

I can assure you Lynn has not snuck off unless it was after I saw him a couple of hours ago. We are somewhere—at Lynn and Maria's campground in Angel Fire, NM, for my wife's grandmother's 100th birthday celebration.
And, no, Lynn, I'm not volunteering for campground sitting.

We'll be heading up the mountain to Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Park to enjoy friends, neighbors, good food and cool weather (70's). Can't wait.

Nope, we're resigned to staying put this weekend. Mark and MJ of the DenCo unit are down here in their 345 to help us out, and we're certainly thankful for that! MJ knows the wifi system well know, so I may just turn all of the computer setups over to him. (Could have used him last night when two campers showed up at the door just before 10 wanting me to set up their Blackberries.)

Sans trailer, Julie and I plan on driving up to Sedona, taking in a few sites and dipping our feet in Oak Creek. I might try a few casts with my new Helios rod and then drive up 89A to Flagstaff for a late lunch. Just need to do something and get out of this sticky heat for a few hours.
