Oh, I wish we could say we were going anywhere, but it ain't gonna happen until we quit the campground business. (But we still do have our hopes up for a trip to RM VAC at the beginning of August! Anybody want to park-sit while we're gone? It's only a 24/7 job.)

Unfortunately I get to work all weekend... so no where, though maybe loudruff's backyard. On the bright side, its a bigger pay check (gotta love holiday pay) so more camping later. Hope those of you roaming have a safe and fun time! We await your pictures!
Camping with some forum friends at Vernonia Oregon Airport Park which is not on a airport but a lovely wooded campground with a creek running though it. JD will bring pie's so join us if you have nothing else to do. Even a 4th of July parade in Vernonia
We're taking our '06 up to Penn Wood so our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson can have an Airstream of their own for the weekend and we can have our '87 to ourselves in the evening
Pictures to follow when we get home on Sunday evening.
Everybody have a safe and happy Independance day.

My wife says that I am a piece of work. I agree, I want to believe I am a MASTERPIECE.
We're pulling our trailer a half mile down the road to our campground on the river that's now been in use for our family reunion since 1935. As we've aged, we've bought the ranch this campground is on and are now therefore, its owners and responsible for its maintenance and upkeep as well as being the hosts of this reunion each year. When the Fourth of July occurs during the week we may only have 75-80 family members show up, but when the Fourth occurs on or near a weekend as it does this year, we can expect to host close to 200 friends and family members. That is the number we are expecting this year. We have installed major upgrades to our facility's restroom while installing a swing set, new larger capacity electrical lines, lights and many more upgrades in anticipation of this year's reunion. We're taking the trailer down to the campground so that any of our elderly, or younger members who might need to cool off will have a place to do so somewhere other than in the river. We have large fans with misters scattered throughout the park and the entire park is solid shade from our ancient pecan trees, but for some this may not be sufficient in the Texas heat of summer; therefore the trailer.
This the park where my trailer is pictured in my avatar. We have two 30 amp sites with water and a complete full bathroom on site with hot and cold water so there is little need for sewer though that is something we are thinking of installing in the near future for the RV sites. We offer courtesy parking at this facility except for during the Fourth of July weekend as it is mowed and maintained throughout the spring, summer and fall months on an every two week schedule.
