2008 Mardi Gras Samboree

If anyone makes it to the Mardi Gras Samboree let me know and I will stop and say hi, might even cook up some food to share.

Jim,
I don't know what my schedule will be, but we might make it. If so I will look you up. We are right up the road, after all.

Sounds good, if some others make it we can have a get together for one of the neighbor hood parades.

Thumbs up Great thread, thanks for the info

Sounds like a nice group of places they have folks going to. That cooking school sounds great!

Speaking of New Orleans, anybody see Bobby Flay try to make a muffuletta sandwich in a throwdown with the Serio Brothers on Food Network? If you missed it the times are in the links above on food network. They had some LSU students participate in the throwdown, it was cute.

I haven’t seen that throw down yet it is on the TIVO. The best muffuletta is at Central Grocery on Decatur St. across from the French Market and is claimed to be the place or origination. Throw down is great and he dose one where he shows up in an Airstream to cook crepes. I believe that was in Austin and the café was in an Avion.

I should of hit your link before I replied. Glad to see WikipediA agrees.
