Weather was great, almost made to to above freezing.
How many people can you get into the Peanut? 12 with room to spare.
More stories to come.

Smile I agree! We had a complete blast!

This was so much fun! Happy Hour in "The Peanut" will not be soon forgotten. Balgrn did a fantastic job on laying down his new floor, I know because I spilled an entire glass of wine on it and was able to inspect his work as I mopped it up (I hate it when I waste perfectly good wine).

We had a group pot luck with chili, hot dogs, beans, rice, fresh baked breads (we lugged our breadmakers with us) and two kinds of dessert. This was held at the camp resort's clubhouse. During our meal we played a game that allowed people to get to know each other a bit better. Each couple was asked how they met their spouse and how long they've been married. Very interesting that folks have different memories on how they met. The second part of the game was where each person was asked to tell the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to them. We were all nearly on the floor with laughter, in fact I'm laughing out loud right now just remembering some of the stories as I type this post. (Because of you, rgesch).

Thank you all for your kind words but the bottom line is this event would have been nothing without you. Every single person who came added just that much more enjoyment to my weekend. The snow tubing with Brian and Don, the skating with Ken and Kathi, the entire gang at the pot luck with the Trailer Trash Troubadors in the background for dinner music, stories at the dinner table, getting cozy in front of the big screen TV in the club room watching Wally Byam movies, I just doesn't get better that that! Each of you added a special spice to the event which all together just was the best weekend I have had with friends all season! Thank you so much for making Richard and my weekend a wonderful one spent with all of you. I hope you will return for the 3rd Annual Winter Rig or Rent next year, mark it on your calendar and check our web site for the pictures.

And I thought Pam's 36' MH held the record for the most people inside a MH. I think the "Peanut", at a mere 20' in length, wins the prize!!!

Great time was had by all even though new habits were made with dogs and the bed and never again will the dog be sleeping on the bed unless of complete emergencies as such this weekend with the heat...long story any way...Snow tubing was a blast even though some suspicious "convicts" broke the "safety tube" which would have been more fun without it all together and we hope that we can do it all again next year with more people!

Jeez

By the time Leon and I arrived the snowman had already been beheaded....

BTW, Leon and I are IN for the third annual Rig or Rent next year. We'll have "The Tube" back so we won't need to rent a cabin.

Balgrn & Frnchqrtr (aka "Rob") didn't even fire off their propane furnaces during this rally, and it was wicked cold! They used electric heaters in their rigs since the campground had 30amp service at the sites and the cost of electric was included in the fee. This was smart, the electric heater's make little to no noise. Both of their rigs were toasty warm, I'll be doing the same thing next year.

Snowman recipe

That was sure one tasty snowman! Any chance we can get a copy of the secret snowman recipe?

P.S.
Why did I have to click the submit button 5 times just to get this post to submit?

You sure can! I'll dig the recipe out tonight.
Don't know about the button thing, though.

Just got home from a Maple Sugar Festival and it got me to thinking what a neat thing it would be to do a Maple Sugar rally in March. I think I could be convinced to start my Airstreaming season around this time with the prospect of visiting a maple syrup camp up north and some hot pancakes and warm maple syrup for breakfast. The kids would love it!

So when does Maple Sugaring start up there in NH? Around the 1st of the month?

Unfortunately this is tough to anticipate. We can however think about going north in April and do both the Winter Rig and Rent AND Sugar on Snow Rendevous. I'm game!

Oh, have you guys seen Richard and I performing our "Death Spiral" in the TOhko Dome ice rink yet???

Also Nancy did you get the snowman recipe and the additional one I sent for snowman leftovers...Dead snowman on toast?
