Winter Rig or Rent 2007

HURRY HURRY HURRY!!!! If you intend to rent a cabin for the Winter Rig or Rent in March 2007 Only 3 left!!!! Call today to rent your cabin. There are only 6 available so it is not too early to hold one. There cancellation policy is pretty liberal so you have nothing to lose!

Make your own arrangments with Danforth Bay Camping Resort by calling 603-539-2069 for either a site or a cabin. Sites are plentiful but only 3 more cabins are available. The cabins sleep 4 adults and up to 3 children I believe. they are heated, have bathrooms and a small kitchenette.

To see who's coming go to the link below.

If I read the thread on this correctly, it looks like there's going to be a jammie/stew dump/movie night on Saturday after all of the Winter X games.

Should I bring a little bit of wood for a campfire? We can also bring The Long, Long Trailer if you're up for a some Lucy.

Can't wait!

Hello Happy Campers! It’s only two weeks and we will be in the beautiful North with SNOW!

We have approximately 2 feet so there is plenty for skiing, alpine and cross country.
Snow shoeing, and snow tubing are also a short drive away.

Traditionally The Geschwindners and the Mitchell’s go snow shoeing on Saturday. Kathi Mitchell snowshoes for those who do not have them and would like to go with us. She works at a school and is able to borrow snowshoes of all sizes. Just provide me with your height and weight (Approx) and she will get you the correct size.

King Pine Ski Area has 16 lifts and rents downhill equipment, x-country, tubes and skates. The Snow tubing last year I believe was $14.00 for half a day, and the Ice Rink was $4.00 but check the site.

Danforthbay.com

Okay after reading the thread this is my take on what people have decided to do.

Friday -Night-Beef Stew Dump on Arrival-Warm Biscuits-Crackers-WINE-In the Club House on the Hill
Movies-TBA or decided by group from list below...

Saturday-Snow shoeing & tubing- Which we Do First- TBA
Happy Hour-Club House followed by the
“Come AS You Are-Anything Goes Pot-Luck- Pajama Party”
Movies-The Golden Years
The Long Long Trailer
Cheesy Sci-Fi Flicks From the Past (Trust me these are the absolute worst.)
Hot Dogs-Popcorn

PS We have 1 cabin open Jamie & Doug had to cancell.

Hi Again, Richard and I just came in from X-country skiing. It was lovely and not cold at all.

I found a can of beef stew (Dinty Moore) for the dump and I am definately making stuffed peppers for 18-20 people because I think that's about how many of us are coming. My turtle p.j's are packed and I am ready to go!

Did I see pics of a heated indoor pool on one of these threads, too? I have a feeling my sedentary kiester is going to be abused and sore.
Stuffed peppers sounds great but I'm so bummed about Doug and Jamie not coming.

FYI: Aluminum foil jammies are NOT comfortable. I just thought everyone should know this.

I think if you check out Richard's 2005 pics it appears as though the pool is indoors.

The 2005 event was held at a different campground/resort. Danforth Bay does not have an indoor pool. They do have a really nice full kitchen and recreation room though.

Ah! So those aren't the cabins either I suppose. Thanks for the heads up. I'll leave my aluminum speedos at home this time.

Right! The cabins at Danforth Bay are nice. There is a bedroom and sleeping loft in each. Two burner range top and dorm type refrigerator (no stove, we bring a large toaster oven). Bath with shower.

I believe we need to bring our own sheets and blankets (full size bed in bedroom and two twin beds in loft). There is a futon in the living-room, folds out to a very uncomfortable full size bed.
