Well the rules I see above look something like this,

A. Wear coat and tie.
B. Wear blue beret.
C. Roberts rules of order.
D. Go to meetings.
E. Swear allegiance to WBCCI

Well, some of those are funny. I'm retired. I endeavor to avoid all of those things. I can see where people might get turned off. Blue beret? Naw, but if it were a Stetson...…….

We were members of a unit about 10-12 years ago. One of the rules I recall was that you had to wear a nametag or take a $1 penalty for starters, with other discipline for repeat offenses.
There were some dress codes too.

I remember mostly skipping the nametag about half the time and either skipping the necktie or tying it loosely. I also recall getting a little talk by one of the huffier members about how important it was to wear a nametag.

There were some strict and peculiar rules about how the nomination and officer process worked. Most of it - again per memory - either wasn't in the member handbook or was different. I remember thinking that if they didn't drive some new blood into management they'd wake up one morning and realize they'd killed the whole thing.

My experience was a dozen years ago, so it's probably worth checking out today. It might be different. Sounds like some of the rally rules are a little more relaxed at least.

Things have changed. I have never seen a members handbook, but badges are required at some events. Personally, I have met thousands of members over the years and I can not remember every member's name (badges help).

Thanks. We may consider it again sometime.
