It will be fun. No tight winding San Francisco roads. No West Virginia hairpin mountain curves. No Pennsylvania logging road switch backs. Just a nice little Sunday drive through our nations capital done on a Wednesday. If the road gets bad, we have someone coming along that can jump out and help repair them. He did just that from Cape town South Africa to Cairo Egypt back in 1959. Rob and I need to know how many are going to caravan with us so that I bring enough pizza fixings for the post caravan pizza party we are having that night. Maybe a caravan movie to watch while we eat that pizza.
So April, bring the trailer with the oven that works so we can bake one in your oven. And do not worry about towing alone. You won't be alone, we will all be with you.

And if this caravan sounds fun, get ready for an awesome one being planned for the trip out to International. We are trying to put a little caravanning back in the club.

Okay- I will come, but I will have to come alone. Therefore- I think I will bring the '67 instead of the '61 and the tahoe instead of the truck. Andy can bring the dogs down on Friday after work when he comes. The oven works- and I will bring dessert! Make sure you have milk to go with Airstream sugar cookies !

One month and counting

I can't believe we are only a month away from CBR!

It may take me that long to dig out from today's snow storm here in the NE ;-)

Frank, how many of us are signed up for the caravan?

WOW, the CBR is only 4 weeks away. I'm psyched!

The caravan sounds like fun and Frank's pizzas are yummy. He made them last October at Knoebels and they are great! Wonderful toppings too, not just the regular stuff.

I hope that we can make it to CBR early on Thursday. Can't wait!

Sonia

Dacia, We have a rough count of 12 for the caravan.

Sonia, Very kind words, thank you. The pizzas were a group effort, but the fact that we made them in our Airstream ovens is what made them taste so good.

Wish I was caravanning with you guys but I will be coming from Northern PA this year.
Can't wait to see ya all. Only three weeks--I'm excited and ready for Airstreaming now that our snow is gone.

I'm getting excited, but a bit worried - I want to get the shocks replaced on the camper and I want to tear out the carpet and put in some tile before the rally. I'm not sure I'll have time to get all of that done!

Oh and the furnace fan makes noise - I'm considering just buying a new motor and both sets of fan blades and replacing all three instead of trying to diagnose it again...

This will be my girlfriend's first camping trip. THAT should be interesting!
