WBCCI-VAC Sedalia International Announcement.

The Vintage Airstream Club-VAC would like to announce the pre-International schedule.

On June 22nd, 2012, VAC members will Rendezvous at the Cottonwood RV Park in Columbia Missouri. We will spend the night at this FULL HOOKUP RV Park. A picnic dinner will be provided the night of June 22, 2012 for all who register.

On the morning of June 23rd, 2012 we will depart Cottonwood RV park in caravan-style for California, Missouri. We will travel approximately 53 miles to our first stop, an 1890's mansion that has been restored by the current owners. We will have a tour of the house and grounds, and a brunch will be provided by Region 12.
After our tour and brunch, we will caravan an additional 37 miles to the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia MO, where we will re-assemble in the Bull Pen. After arriving in the bull pen, we will then check in and prepare to parade. After everything is in order, we will parade through the Fairgrounds to our parking sites. Anyone not wanting to participate in the Rendezvous in Columbia, but wishes to join in the parade through the Fairgrounds, should queue-up in the Bull Pen no later then 2:00pm. For those joining the caravan at the Bull Pen, you will be placed at the end of the caravan and parade with us into the Fairgrounds.

The VAC will have its public "Open House" and "Concours d' Elegance" the afternoon of June 24th, 2012. Anyone wishing to participate in this VAC event needs to be on the Fairgrounds by the morning of June 24, 2012. If you plan to arrive Sunday Morning, you should check in advance with WBCCI regarding their schedule for parking particularly for Sunday morning there could be issues.

Space is limited for the Columbia Missouri Rendezvous and Mansion Caravan. The registration cut-off deadline is May 31st, 2012. You can find additional information regarding the VAC's International schedule ,register, and pay for this pre-rally event at www.vintageairstreamclub.com
To attend the WBCCI's International Rally you need to also register with WBCCI and that information can be found at www.wbcci.org.

These dates were picked by the IBT.

The deadline to sign up for the VAC Pre-Rally Rendezvous and Caravan to Sedalia is coming quick. Space is still available to all WBCCI/VAC registered members who have signed up for International and wish to participate in the Vintage Rendezvous which includes a tour of an historic 1890's mansion restored to period. Region 12 will be providing a lunch at the mansion, and we may have a few local townspeople ( California, Missouri) visiting for a short impromptu Airstream Open House.
ITINERARY:
June 22nd, Rendezvous at Cottonwood RV Park, Columbia Missouri (rally fee includes one night stay (full utilities) and pcinic dinner.
Jne 23rd will be a full day.
Beginning early, leave for California, Missouri.
Tour Eitzen Mansion and have lunch,and visiting with local townspeople who may drop by to see Airstreams surrounding the mansion which sits on its own city block.
After lunch, drive 40 miles on good roads to Sedalia and meet up with others who maybe waiting in the bullpen, to line up with flags hoisted and parade through the Rally grounds and be parked for International. This will be the only parade for the VAC.
