WBCCI Metro Detroit Spring Shakedown Buddy Rally

Who is going to the WBCCI Metro Detroit Rally in Durand Michigan this weekend at Walnut Hills Durand Michigan?

Here's a link to Andy Neumann's post. He's the rally host and past president of the unit.

Finaly puy up some pictures from the rally

There are more here,

http://www.pbase.com/baidinc/metro_d...ally_durand_mi

I picked up our new Safari and headed over to Walnut Hills. It was a blast and Bradley joined us on Saturday and Sunday.

Andy and Claudia did a great job. And that is their set of giant flamingos! We had a tour of the Durand train depot, great food, and campfires and movies. We watched the Airstream DVD, the Johnny Cash movie and my favorite...The Troubadours have a DVD out! That was TOO funny! We all sang along.

Next rally for me will be the Tin Can Tourists in a couple of weeks.

BTW, we really love the Safari. I hope to get pictures up soon.

Goodness, I need to get glasses--look at the title, and no no wine tonight! ; )

M-D Shakedown!

The one day we were there was a blast, even without our trailer! You folks know how to have a good time!

Anyway, I uploaded the photo's of your new Safari FB with the 2007 Suburban in front of it for your review:
http://www.pbase.com/baidinc/joes_pics

If the pictures aren't too large (1-2 MB each), I could upload all of the one's I took at the rally. Either that, or I need to find an easy way to reduce the file size for them. (Being that I am a digital camera novice, I don't know the best way to do that.)

Thanks Joe. Glad you and Lorrie could make the rally even if it was only for the one day. Lunch at the depot was fun but I think your brand new Suburban caused a bigger stir than the tour of the station! I asked Joe to do me a huge favor and bring his new truck over to the Safari so I could see the combination together.

Not only did he and Lorrie bring it by but Joe backed it up in towing proximity to give me the full realistic effect. The new Suburban has a back-up camera and monitor that lets you back right up to the hitch without assistance or even getting out to check. Now I think we are going to need one of those real bad. I love the color and did you see the wheels go so nicely with the Safari wheels? And he documented it for me to review! Is that service, or what? I think we should all buy new Burbs from GM and give Joe as the referral. They should give him a big bonus.

Great shots and so many nice angles. Yes we would like to see all your rally pics, please upload them.

Thank you. You were so nice to indulge me with my request. I figured there was no way I would drive the AS around to the car dealers, much as I would like to.

P.S. And thanks for the compliment on the Suburban. I was more than happy to show it off.

Great rally shots Joe. All you Southerners do not fail to see the jackets and blankets we are using! Our warm weather friends don't realize how good they have it. No wonder most of Michigan seems to end up in Florida. Last year the shake down rally pictures have SNOW! I was so excited about the weather "changing" that I took many pictures of robins and first wild flowers. Now to play catch up with traveling and camping!

Anyone also notice the mysterious "traveling" flamingos? Seems they were nabbed and moved one day.
