Yeah Id say if we want to, a piece of masking tape on the back of our new VTA shirts!!

I cant imagine the work that would go into trying to match forum names and real names!

This is a huge undertaking, this VTA. Thanks for this opportunity VTA organizers. This is just what the Airstream Doctor ordered. Really reasonable price, too. We wouldnt be able to attend if it were much higher.

I just got a hotel room (Days Inn Albuquerque West) and will solve transportation to and from hotel later. I looked at the aerial view and I don't see much besides cement...it's an RV park, not campground. I now realize there is a difference. That sealed the deal for us! What would we do, bring mattresses and a tent on the plane? I got a low rate (but everything is cheaper than the Bay Area) so maybe we'll get a rental car if the airport-hotel-Academy trips turn out to be a burden or hassle.

Maybe even split one with someone and zip each other back and forth in it. Who else is in a hotel sans car?

It looks like our hotel is less than a block away from yours. I'm sure we can work something out.

Hi Thalweg, yes I made the reservations last night during an insomnia attack and didn't get a chance to mention to you that I reserved our rooms near your hotel!

I have never walked through an RV park, didn't realize that they aren't necessarily campgrounds. So glad I took a look and used my brain for once!

Kind of depends on your definition of "campground," Ingrid! The property there is pretty typical for the west mesa area. It has its own kind of stark beauty when you go by foot; try some of the trails out at the nearby Petroglyphs National Monument up on the back side at the volcanos. Still, not a whole lot of folks want to tent-camp in that area unless they're archeologists.

Yes exactly...my definition of campground is pretty much anything without cement, and I love the terrain and views of the desert.

If we had any options besides a tent on the ground, we'd stay at the campsite. I hope to take some trails and photos.

Cleco and I tented last year and will be again this year with the DW and youngest son. An air mattress helps a lot. Not really concrete but pretty gravelly (is that a word?) the only thing missing is a chili roast
really looking forward to this

I see there's a (tentative) schedule posted on the classes page! Woo Hoo!
So many seminars, so little time - even with seminars being repeated, I see it won't be possible to attend them all and I will have some tough choices to make.

That schedule is pretty much final - it may be tweaked a little here and there - but not much - for example with the body off demo it's hard to know exactly the timing of the various steps - so that part of the schedule is somewhat fluid and we will keep everyone informed as to where we are process

Hows the weather?

I am having trouble figuring the weather out for this years Rally. Any forecasts from locals? The stuff I have been checking has 70's in the day and freezing at night.

It has been all over the place - should be in the mid to upper 70's and down in the low 40's
