My sentiments exactly! No...there isn't a specific doggie area...except away from the hospitality & meeting areas, we've had issues with the doggies 'sharing' our snacks....
Shari
My doggie is a DISGRACE to her breed.. a Jack Russell afraid of a fly. (literally)
She is very shy and introverted, but dons a different attitude at dusk when the raccoons appear.. (not to mention pee pee time at 3:00 a.m.) she thinks it's detective time and she's been known to abscond with charred yummies from other people's camp fires.
I'm trying to train her to go for the GOOD steak, and then a potato, and then an ear of corn and a LAST trip for the bread...
Sounds like this is going to be a hoot, for sure! This is our first ever, A/S, and rally! I sure hope we don't disgrace the group with our Roadrunner! We've only been able to use it once since we rescued it a little over a month ago. He'd been sitting for 10 years in Arizona, without windows. (Seems he liked going boondocking, too!) I wish I had some pics of the 4WD road we went up, switchbacks and all!! I was impressed!!
After seeing pictures of "Mr." InsideOut polishing up Maxwell, well...I'm a bit embarrassed!! We'll surely feel like the Clampett's! But, I'm sure it will be a great experience!
I am so looking forward to meeting all of you, and getting some tips on fixing up our much neglected, '68 Overlander. I sure hope this rain stops here, so I can get my windows in!!! (Thanks to Robandzoe!)

Everybody is welcome, even if you are distant cousins of the Clampetts!!! Have you seen our 'Before' pictures??? I think we may be related!
The RM VAC has made a point of NOT having trailer competitions...we just love to have trailers in ALL states in attendence. Whether they have been lovingly restored, are in various stages of their restoration/remodel or are just aging gracefully....come one, come all!
No matter what, you'll get lots of hints & help at the rally as you begin your restoration...thanks for the kudos though!

Maybe you can get Andy to put a countdown on the front page - so many of us are going to be Colorado-bound in just a few more days!
We can't wait, but we're a little apprehensive about the long drive, our longest yet, and with a new axel on the Caravel! But when we get there we can kick back and stay awhile...
I definitely am a bit envious of that BEAUTIFUL shine! My two sons want to polish the "Roadrunner! All they've been able to do is on one side removing the clearcoat with Aircraft Remover Spray. It actually worked rather well. We're looking for a cyclo polisher, now. If you need a "volunteer" to use their trailer to sample polish at the Rally.....I'M RAISING MY HAND!!!
I, by the way, am probably somehow, related to the Clampett's! I do love the country and OLD things...guess that's what prompted the recent purchase of our "money pit"!
So...sounds like a few margaritas will be in order!! Personally... a scotch and sparkling water, with a lemon squeeze...sounds oh so good to me! (Like having a spiked lemonade!! )
We, also, have a '68 Overlander. We haven't named her yet, but she's definitely our "baby". We got her in April (it's also our "first"), so this will be our first rally. I think that all vintage Airstreams are at some stage of restoration. Maxwell is just a little further along......

If you think Maxwell is shiny...wait 'til you see Herb Spies '63 GlobeTrotter!!! He's going to be doing our polishing demo again this year (Thanks Herb!) and he's got it down to a science! Won't be doing a whole trailer, but will be looking for a volunteer to go home with a shiny patch. Gotta be stripped though...

I just looked at the calendar... I recall saying that I wouldn't go if I wasn't polished.....Well... Other than a little tiney area I did in June....I'm no further... Glad to hear I won't be alone.....
Still haven't made any plans, don't know when we're leaving...Probably Thursday, late, and drive throught the boring parts in the dark.....LOL
Can't wait to see you all.
