VAC Wagon Wheels Caravan

Anyone besides us plan on taking the VAC Wagon Wheels Caravan before the International?

Shari,

Thanks, now up to 11. Hopefully enough not to cancel.

See you and Rob in South Dakota.

Bill

Good afternoon,
I live in western South Dakota and I was thinking of making the trip to Huron. I am "very new" to all this. My husband passed away of cancer shortly after we bought our AS. If someone could tell me where to go so that I could find out more information about the rally I would appreciate it?
Thank you very much.
Mary

I'm sorry...I did some further research and saw that registration was already closed. I see that its also for vintage AS.

Newer Airstream

If your Airstream is not vintage 25 years or older and you are not a member of the VAC interclub, you can not participate in this particular caravan. Call Jackson Center HQ. and talk to Deb or Cindy to see if there is another one you might be able to join at this late date. If you can not find a caravan to join to come into the rally, you will need to wait until there is an open parking day, so you can just drive up to the gate and register.

Huron

Hello Dwight,
Thank you for your quick response. I have never participated in a rally...like I said...I am "very new" to this as my husband passed away after we had been on only five short trips with our AS. I have had it winterized for the last year and a half and thought that a rally would help me to understand my AS better. Maybe I'll just sell it and live a more stress free life.
Take care,
Mary

We are sorry for your loss. There are at least ten single women that have registered and paid their fees for this rally. It is not all that stressful to camp in an Airstream. "Foiled again", member of this forum, is in the process of buying another one after she rolled her first Airstream a couple weeks ago. She is a full timer and put on many miles before she had an accident. They even have a freewheelers interclub where single folks gather at the international to discuss common interests. The International rally is a good place to meet a lot of friendly people in a period of a week.
