Unit Rally
Well its been an interesting 4 days. Our local unit held its summer rally at a local campground just outside the St. Louis meto area. Only about 50 miles or so from my house. The campground is owned by an Airstream owner who just joined our unit and just purchased the campground last year.
I started out on the wrong foot by kissing a tree as I was backing into a tight spot. Fortunately my wife yelled into our walkie talkie as I was backing so I escaped major damage other than a small scratch in the front passenger door of the van and a very brused ego.
It ends up the campground wiring is not up to par and we all had power problems. Those of us who are at the end of the loop had less than 100 volts of power as the airconditioners struggled against the heat and humidity. I don't believe the owner ever has had enough trailers at this point to test the system like we did.
A big thunderstorm rolled in this morning with some pretty good downpours. Unfortunately I found that I have a leak around the stove exhaust hood vent and spend some time wiping the water coming down the wall behind my stove. Back to the dealer to find this problem.
And to top it all off one of our two dogs is petrified of thunder and decided to loose control of his bowels suddenly and with great force. Looks like we need to get the steam cleaner out this week to get the carpet back to its normal color.
Yep, all in all it sure was a fun time.
