Michael,
Since we're also winging it, that should make enough wings to fly...I'll PM you...

OK, all you Quartzsite rats, as I mentioned earlier, we will be passing through Wednesday on our way to Phoenix for Thanksgiving. I have been told that there is a Mexican restaurant in Quartzsite by the name of "The Best Mexican Restaurant" or something like that. Does anyone know of this place and the address or directions from I10?

Thanks,

Bill

I don't know the restaurant of which you speak, but there is a very good Mexican restaurant on Hwy 95, just north of I10 on the west side of the street called La Casa Rancho. Lynn and I ate there a couple of times last January. We had the "Mini Sombrero". Very good, very reasonable and lots to eat. The "Sombrero" is way too much food for one person.

If I have this figured right. Three weeks from today we will be in Q with Friends, Turkey and a campfire.

As our dear friend Bam says. "Awoo and Ahoo!"

Don't forget...Margiball, BLOODY MARYS, A FEW BREWED LIBATIONS, AND MAYBE A PRETZEL OR TWO. STILL IN SILVERTON...2 DEGREES THIS MORNING, 10 INCHES OF SNOW...I'M MORE THAN READY TO RECLAIM THE DESERT.
By the way, I posted that the reptiles don't show till April...that should be corrected to March...if anyone is coming a bit later...really simple solution-look 10 feet ahead when you walk, and carry a sand wedge.

As is always, with 4CU events, the response is...uhm...responsive...(don't ya' love the literacy...?). Mr Richard has raised a good point, in that the turkeys seem to be...ahem(ahen?)...covered, but a list for veggies and other sundry items might be a good idea, at this point...the deviled eggs are also a done deal, so pitch in where you think you can, but if you can't, then just bring an appetite...I have NEVER walked away from a 4CU event hungry(or weighing less).
QUESTION: do ya'll want to have TQ-DAY on T-DAY, or the day after...or does it really matter?...friends, fun, food...

The head count is really 10. Mike Dean and Sheri show on one page and not the other. It is a glitch with the forums software and members in different time zones. Kevbo is also not on the list.

Remember that we are deep frying the turkey. That means no stuffing(hint).

Richard,

Does the list show the Str8streams and BamCamper?

Since you don't want stuffing. I'll bring gravy. Goes good on Turkey and real smashed pataters.

Mike,

Let's do it on TDay.

Two weeks and 5 days. Not that I'm counting.

Bam and Ron and Debbie are on the list, like I said, the list(s) are little messed up. Who said we didn't want stuffing? When you deep fry a bird it is not stuffed. It is the one draw back to the type of cooking.

Hey, cool, Mike, you're out of the snow in Silverton! Alas, we're stuck here for a while. (We get the pleasure of hooking up the rest of the way to village utilities and have to stay to oversee the damage; otherwise, we'd be right behind you!)
