Put heart and soul into a post, and get the message "BAD SERVER"!!! I'll try One more time, if'n I can remember what I wrote...

Happy hour started somewhere before 8:00 am(don't look at me, I was still on the first cuppa(well, I DID forget to bring my personalized genuine plastic cup)...finally broke down and went all the way back to the rig to get it, filled it, took one sip, and Cooper's tail knocked it over...on Richard's foot...what a waste!!!
Three turkeys donated their lives to a bunch of ravenous 4CUers...not a shred left...and the side dishes were plentiful and pretty much consumed...and the pies...like Momma used to make, but she wasn't there to tell you "enough!"...Paul and Michael gave us another OUTSTANDING musical presentation, and the audience kazoo accompaniment was pretty impressive(NOTE: I did not suggest harmony)...the enthusiasm was ...well...maybe enhanced by libation, but perhaps I'm being too critical...when a bunch of...uhm...GRACEFULLY aging folks get together on a Kazooioaki spree, it's not...well...ok, the enthusiasm was inspiring.
Fireside had the usual 20 outrageous conversations going on at the same time, fueled by a variety of libations...at 11:40pm, I was the only one left(it's ok, folks, I'm used to solitary campfires, just not quite so large...)
After the sit-down meal, Richard and Jan sacrificed the last turkey to boiling oil for the folks coming in tomorrow or whenever, but ya better hurry, or we'll storm their trailer, and it won't be pretty...

Sounds like a great Tday in Qtown to me with great 4CU friends. We'll be there before noonish for a leftovers lunch but are especially interested in the pies, well... I am anyway, Julie will want to nibble on something else.

For all of you watching this thread without being able to attend and wondering where are all of the pictures, guess I'll be the designated photo'er and post them when I get back home this evening.

See you all soonish.

Brad

Thanks scrappy. We are good, had glass shards on the dash and the plastic cowl was broken but it was in tact enough to keep going. I thought some punk tossed a rock in front of the truck. Trooper thought it was tossed from the other side of the highway by a truck. I can see either way.

We are now here in Yuma and will try and get it fixed this morning.

Following the thread, thanks all and we will be there maybe this afternoon.

The big day is finally here. Leaving at 9:00 am and will meet up with Timemachine at a rest stop near Palm Springs. After that we're churnin and burnin all the way to Q.

Save some turkey for us!

It sounds like there is a wonderful turkey being boiled in oil. Tender, moist, and hopefully still on the bone.

Eat well, drink more and be merry.

Richard, are you the only one that owns a camera on this rally?

We didn't sign the official list that we were coming until we REALLY knew. Well, now we know and we are. Goal was to leave Camp Verde at noon but that's not gonna happen. Nonetheless, we'll still try to arrive before the evening rituals bearing a Sour Cream Pumpkin Pie and assorted leftovers from our feast here with the kids yesterday. Volume will depend on what's been snitched from the fridge in the post T-Day dinner hours.
See ya'll before the sun sets (hopefully). You probably have a good 2 hrs. if you need us to bring anything. We'll be bringing a large table. Oh, I'll sign up officially now.

"RSVP sign-ups for this event are now closed."

Okay, we aren't signing up. We aren't taking offense in spite of the harsh words. We're coming anyway. Just call us the White House crashers.

That's whay happens when you give advance warning...err...notice...I know we only gave you, like, 5 months, so consider this official notice that Q4T3 will occur in 2010, oh, say around THANKSGIVING...??? You now have 364 days to plan around...sorry, best I could do...

Arrrgh. Duty called (don't you hate when that happens?) and I need to stick close to home this weekend.

So I'll sign up for Q 2010 and see what happens.

Miss you all and your raging kazoo campfires but as a consolation prize I am doing a short camp close to home.

And I for one have photos.

I shall be toasting you around the campfire, together but not together.

Have fun and see ya all soon...

We're back home now so I'll load pictures in a few minutes although I didn't take many as there wasn't much happening in the middle of the day. I guess alot of folks were either napping or went into town.

Herk ~ We weren't sleeping all the way from Qtown and didn't see a vintage trailer being towed westbound on I-10. I know, 'cause I can spot one a mile away. Which route did you take?

It appears that when I got my camera out, most everyone was in hiding. I only have just these couple and hope that it will encourage others in Qtown to post some more.

We enjoyed our short visit with everyone and it was a pleasure to meet up with some of our long standing friends again and to meet a few new ones. Rally safe.
