Boy, is this ever right. Where the heck are the pictures? Oh, I know, it takes a fair amount of effort to get up, out of the chair or off the ground, whichever, and then go pick up the camera, turn around, hold it up, take some pictures, then go inside, load them and add them to this post.

Consider the benefits of doing this. You are exercising muscles that you haven't used since you got up to get another drink (okay, those muscles are probably overworked but they might cramp up if left too long), you are exercising your eyes by focusing the camera, you are keeping your computer skills honed and sharp by loading and posting the pictures - AND - you will have earned another round of drinks feeling good about the fact that you are capturing these wonderful moments for the rest of your fellow 4CU'ers to revel in. Oh sure, at a distance, in some cases a substantial distance including a foreign country kinda, but still, it will incite others to pack up their bags and head out a few days early. They can phone in sick - with all this Swine Flu going around they have a ready made reason to get out of town.

There, I'm done. Now to go find a drink and pout some more.

Barry

On edit: I see it's fixed now. Yup, need pix in the worst way even if the pictures are bad. We'll at least know why. Hick-hick...

Min got in this afternoon!!!
After a busy day of doing...well, I'm sure.I did something...and an outrageously good spaghetti and meatball dinner from Mike&Sheri, we sat at the bloody mary tent and drank water, fruit juice, and iced tea...Clamato and wine are both fruit juices, right?
Tracy had the tea, and I drank a couple of bottles of water earlier in the day(gotta cleanse that palate, don'cha know)...if I had to drink one more beer, I think I'd...well...drink one more beer...
Sam, you shall be added to the list of those in absentia we will toast...
Barry, yer already on the list...top of it, I believe...the picture man(Jimmini) is unable to access our router, or anyone else's, for that matter, except at the library, so that's the problem...ok, ok...I still have to remember to find the camera, and I'm beginning to notice a trend-the pictues come out MUCH better without the lense cap on...results on this will be forthcoming as I do that double-blind study thing...
Richard&Jan, yer site is marked(i think it might have been Cooper)...BTW, is that me on the left side of the picture, holding the 'this thread' sign...?...can't see my tiara, so you need a new pic...
Goin, it's good enough for me to know yer comin', but still wish you guys were able to come sooner...your chance is coming...
Brad, I'm working on a bottle cap supply, as I type...
Julianne, since Min arrived, I can probably ask them for a bloody mary or a vodka tonic...let me know, or surprise me at the door.
If I didn't respond to someone's post, it wasn't deliberate...just the age of CRS &CSS syndromes-Can't Remember S*** and Can't See S***
I'll probably put the pink survey tape, pink utility flags, and pink arrows out on Tuesday...
There are two Laundromats in Q...the larger one also offers CLEAN showers(endless hot water), and will provide a towel, wash cloth, foot mat, shampoo, and soap for $6...I will go there before the rally(the sounds in the background are my fellow campers cheering at this news...)...last year, the washers were $1.25, and the dryers were $0.25 for 12 minutes...
Goodnight, m

Getting the trailer ready, see you all thursday

Early. We plan on heading out at dark thirty AM. We will probably be there around 10:00 AM. So maybe Mike will be there to guide us in over the washes. We will bring wood and a side dish plus some bubbly for Min. Let us know if you need anything.

Hey, Mike:

I'm working on getting the rig ready to roll by Wednesday PM. Should arrive mid-day on Turkey-Day...

Question: How tricky is the approach in to the camping area? Washes, ruts, etc. I've got a 31-footer behind the Warwagon (suburban) - Foresee any problemos?

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Thanks,

Art

Ken&Linda,
There will be pink surveyors tape on the La Paz Valley signs, pink utility flags marking the wash, poster signs with pink arrows, and an overworked, underpaid TTQ to guide you in from the Roadrunner CG sign...
Art,
The trickiest part is the turn when you try to make the sharp turn(U turn) entering the campground from the paved sideroad...With your rig, I suggest you pull past the turn, drive into the large, flat area, make a sweeping U turn in that area, and come back to the crossover wash from the opposite direction...
A large contingent of consumers at Jimminis this morning...gotta love this lifestyle!

Now I feel...well...somehow justified...and it also proves I'm a gender short on words...as opposed(I guess) to short gender...
Signs, arrows, and pink surveyor tapes are up...
