Hopefully the rain will blow through early.
I suppose that this is below the norm for Texas. When I lived in San Antonio in 2003-2004 it really didn't stay this cold for that long. Of course, changes happen yearly, and Houston is further north than San Antonio. Friday and Saturday in San Antone will be 58 and 60 respectively! Too bad the RV park they used last year wasn't accommodating as the weather there looks like a 20 degree swing.

Evening,

Has the 2010 rally schedule been posted anywhere? I think last year it was posted in the current thread on the rally. LisaP was looking for it earlier in this thread, entry #120. Can it be posted again? Thought it was helpful last year.

Have a great evening.

Packed and ready to go

Well I am packed, trailer is all cleaned and hitched so I am ready to go. I plan on heading out on Wednesday around noon. Only takes me about 1 1/2 hours from Missouri City, TX. The weather does not look promising for Conroe later tomorrow or Thursday, rain, sleet, snow and cold are forecast. I hope I am not the only one there.

Don,

I know several folks who headed out today, and a few heading out tomorrow. You definitely won't be alone. I had planned to wear my down filed coat for the trip as it is pretty cold here, but I have opted for my military Gore-Tex parka with fleece liner due to the rain. I am also packing extra clothing for the trip with wet weather on tap.

I would like to know if anyone attending has a garden pump sprayer like the one in the picture below. I have one, but I just cannot give up the space that I need for clothing on this trip. If anyone has one, please let me know as soon as possible. If not, then I will likely purchase one at the nearest hardware store, and donate it for the prize give away at the rally end .

Steve

Cold Weather

Might add that due to the typical high humidity in the Houston/Conroe area, that temperatures in the low 40's and upper 30's feel much colder than the same temperatures in dry or mountains. We call it "cold to the bone". It don't happen often but this one could be a good Texas chill. You should se how many palm trees are keeling over here in Houston. Also it could be 37 one day and 72 the next.

Xstream,

I am at Montgomery and talked to the person in charge of registration.

She said it may be late to go online, but if you bring your check with you, she is accepting late walk-ins.

PM me if you want to discuss further.

Jim

Just got done packing. I swear I am going to get a dolly cart once I get to the Airport to avoid throwing out my back. I packed extra everything with the threat of bad weather all weekend.

I hope Whitsend reads this since it makes him laugh...I cannot wait to hit Taco Cabana tomorrow!

See everyone tomorrow.

Heh... I laughed, too. Enjoy your TC, and I wish I could make it this year.

Maybe NEXT year, and hopefully by then I'll have an entirely complete trailer, front-to-back (and new axles, too!).

We're at the rally now, and believe me it feels good compared to the weather we escaped up north. A little rain now but it's a warm rain, not the white stuff we get.

Jim,

Thanks for the info. I'll just plan to "walk-in" (no rig). I should get to town Friday morning. I'll be staying in one of KOA's rental units.

Thanks

Congrats on your recovery. Most people with pancreatic cancer are not so lucky.

Sounds like a fabulous get-tgether. If I didn't live so far away I'd be there.

Just FYI, PayPal will automatically credit your account their fee when you issue a refund.

All the best!

Mister Mike
