Go to THLU.ORG Click on the link just below the rally ad.

The schedule is still in development. We have a meeting in early September to firm it up.

I am planning to be there even though I won't be in my 1977 as I will be in the 2010 I bought a couple weeks ago.

Why isn't this rally in the forum calendar?

Stopped twice yesterday at the nice little truck stop/convenience store ("restaurant & fuel") in the pic while going to and from several drilling rigs. Horse trailers in abundance at the park/arena. Gonzales is a very nice town on the Guadalupe . . . and hopefully the 102F temps will be a memory by early October. The battle monument is just a few miles SW on TX-97 shown curving away to the lower left.

Come and Take It Celebration

If any of you "do" Facebook, go to the "Come and Take It Celebration" page and they have lots of info about the town's activities. They also gave us publicity for our Rally's Vintage Open House on Sunday. They still want at least one vintage in their parade on Sat AM but so far we have had no takers. Let me know if you want to show off your "baby" in the parade....Judy

Attached is the schedule agreed upon at our planning meeting yesterday. There should be very few changes between now and the rally.

I have edited in some short info about each of our presenters.

The total number of seminars have been cut back just a bit to allow folks to attend the events in town. The parade is great, but only a small part of the goings-on for the "Come and Take It" weekend.

We sent in our registration some time back. Should we have gotten something in return or do we just show up. We will be coming in on Thursday.

You just show up on the day you indicated. You will stop briefly in the bull pen to check in and pick up your welcome packet. From there, we have a parking committee with two golf carts to lead you to your parking spot and help you get parked. You will have a ribbon or badge to get into all the meals and seminars.

Be in the parade

We are still looking for a vintage trailer to be in the Saturday morning parade. We have made a connection with a local vintage car club and they will provide a vintage tow vehicle. We would really like an older, polished Airstream, but we are flexible as long as it is a vintage.

It will mean breaking camp for most of Saturday morning, but it is a great chance to show off your trailer.

Anyone with a classic motorhome would also be welcome to participate in the parade.

The Gonzales CofC will get us into the parade even if we get past the sign-up date.

Ron, You are registered and in our data base for the rally. I did not have an email address to send you your receipt. We will also email a reminder and "things to expect at the rally" to those who have registered. See you in Gonzales! ....Judy

How far are the Come and Take It activities from the rally activities? Walking distance? Should I bring a bike? Shuttle? Car ride?

I have a 36" break just like this. Any interest? I will bring it for sale or trade.

It has served me well. It is in good shape. Really not much that can go wrong with it.

I used it for all my c-channel, using a 1x2 as a gauge. Built many other parts, including window frames, boxes for stabilizer jacks, and much more. Great tool if you are just starting a refurb.

FREE. I have the original Preway stove from my 1950 Flying Cloud. It is in rough shape. I will bring it for anyone that wants to take it. FREE. If you want it let me know. No returns. If I haul it there, you have to take it. The idea is to get it out of my garage.

Sorry no pictures but it is an apartment size stove. Gas. Not working. Needs restoration or can be used for parts.

I'll guess a mile and a half. Really too far to walk. Bike would work OK; ground is fairly level.
