Spring Fling Rally in Freeport Maine
The New England Unit's "Spring Fling" Rally was a tremendous success. The rally hosts arrived on Thursday just in time to enjoy setting up and grabbing
a quick lunch in the sun along side the ocean. All 20 units had campsites with Casco Bay on one side and pastures on the other. It rained on Friday but Saturday, Sunday and Monday were sunny and absolutely beautiful. A few brave souls ventured out for kayaking on Saturday morning, we had a nice morning walk group and others ventured out for some shopping and dining around Freeport. Attached is a photo of my rig overlooking Casco Bay.

Sounds like a great weekend. We love sites like yours that have you right by the water. I notice your flags in the photo. Our AS has the mount for 3 flags, and a special box for storing them under the trailer, but where do you find the flags with the long poles to fit? Hope you can give us a tip. Thanks.

Flag poles
My flag pole holder takes 1 inch poles. I bought 6 shower curtain rods, used round stock to join two together by drilling through the rods and round stock to make 10 foot poles @ $10 per 10ft pole (each shower curtain rod was $5 at Lowes). I have three flags, the US flag, my state flag (NY) and I also fly the USMC flag as I'm a Marine.
They make the trailer look great!

Where do you get the box?

I have no idea! When we were going over our trailer with its PO, he made a big point of showing us the box that he said was dedicated for storage of the flags that mount on the front of the trailer. At the time, I didn't pay much attention, but now I wish I had asked him if he had flag poles that we could have purchased at the same time. The box is rectangular metal, about 3 X 5 and is attached somehow under the trailer, somewhere between the door and front axle. Sorry that I don't have more info.

My dimensions above were unclear-apologies! What I meant was 3" X 5" by whatever length would hold tall flag poles broken down, I guess about 6 or 7 feet, though I haven't crawled around underneath to clearly see the length or how the box is suspended from the belly.
