I'd avoid overnighting and especially eating out in Tuba City. Camped there at the hotel campgrounds on a work trip once. One of our group even got sick from eating there at the hotel restaurant.

Bluff is a far nicer stop. We also enjoyed the steakhouse. They have great service and good local micro brews on tap.

Oh, that's not good news! We had a pretty good Indian taco there with no unexpected aftereffects.

More camping spots

There is a free state park just outside of Mexican Hat UT - Goosenecks of the San Juan SP. Strictly a boondock spot with a pit toilet and a nice view. Also there is a small commercial campground in Mexican Hat. Camping is permitted along the 17 mile Valley of the Gods road (dirt) but a high clearance vehicle is suggested and if it has rained - forget about it!

Hey Folks-
Thanks for a great rally! Wm and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Next time we'll be there with our airstream on! No more tents (repeat after me). Christine
