SNU May Unionville, NV Rally

The Sierra Nevada Unit will host its May rally on Thursday the 15th through Sunday the 18th near the county park in the Unionville, NV. Unionville is a living ghost town located in the Humbolt Range of Pershing County, NV. About 3 hours from Reno off I-80 and about 44 miles East of Lovelock; take the Mill City exit 149 south towards Mill City/Unionville, go 0.1 mile. Turn right onto NV-400, go 16.4 miles. Turn right On road to Unionville, go 2.1 miles. Note portions of this road, i.e. The section to Unionville is unpaved. It is good gravel, wide enough for Airstreams with no steep grades. The rally will be held in an open field near the park in Unionville.

If you turn left (east) instead of right (west) onto the road to Unionville (originally named Rebelville during the war between the states), you get to Kyle Hot Springs in about 15 miles. Natural hot spring, piped into two steel tanks. The second tank is cool enough to soak in. Great view of the valley. Don't fall into any hot sink holes though.
