I live in VA, have never been to a rally, and have a relatively newly fermented 2004. Can I join the fun? I don't mind waiting for space scraps, and this is a good excuse to join WBCCI. Why do I feel this is sounding like a MySpace ad?
Anne in VA, also pretty fair at eggs, bacon and home fries in the early hours.

Here's what I would do: Join WBCCI and WDCU for $56.00 and have Paul cough up the $20 for you to join the VAC.
Somebody please correct me if I am wrong, but it's my understanding that you don't necessarily have to have a vintage Airstream to join the VAC. All you need is the VAC mindset and the desire to have a lot of fun -- and some of rideair's cash of course!
I was by your house today, on Rt. 7 going to Leesburg from Front Royal. Travel down that way for work.
Anyway, "YES" I would be happy to "cough" up the $20.00 bucks to sign you up for the VAC, but I'll go one better. I'll "hack" up an extra $1.00 for your WDCU unit dues. Also, Anne we (the WDCU) have our CBR (Cherry Blossom Rally) coming up in April. We could sign you up for all the above at that time.
Sounds good! I'll email you for details. I think I drove by your house the other day too, doing a Winter Raptor survey!
Later!
Anne in VA

Paul, Thank you for reinvigorating my love of the Airstream way of life. You have made me warm and fuzzy inside.
Also, I have no problem with early, early even after a night of rallying, so put me down for morning mess duty.
Frank
PS for those that do not know me... I sincerely mean everything I say.
To all whom plan to attend the East Coast VAC Rally. I have spoken to "Martha and Dave Makel" owners of "Trailer Buff". As many of you know, Trailer Buff is on of the most respected "Vintage Trailer" (they do more than Airstreams) restoration places in the country. They have offered to our group, for us to come over on Friday at 11:00pm for a private tour of their shop! I've been there a couple of times, each time, I learn something new. Out back of their shop, they have many vintage Airstreams waiting to be restored. Martha also told me, they will try to attend our rally.
Just an FYI, Dave and Martha are members of the WBCCI Shenandoah Valley Unit. They will be hosting their "Breakout Rally" in April. I've been going to this rally for the past couple of years and have always had a great time. So if your looking for a rally in April, it's a good one.
Well group, can you say,
"ROAD TRIP"
I want to send out a message of "THANKS" to both Martha and Dave for offering this to our group.
It's going to be so cool!!!!

This rally is getting more fun by the day. When I finally spoke to Tina at the KOA last week, she thought that I was the nineth person to register. I know there has been an other one sense then... looking like a great turn out.

How awesome is that. This is going to be great!
Thanks, Paul, for arranging this tour. And many thanks to Martha and Dave for opening their doors to us.
Below are a couple of logo's for the "East Coast VAC Rally" I worked on last night. Let me know your thoughts. I'm thinking of having some T-shirt's, etc... made up for the event. Yes, I know the one say's "2007". I can/will correct that. I was up until 2:15am working on it. Thoughts were not clear!
