Hope to be there!

Well, I'm back on Active Duty now here in Quantico, Va. I'm hoping to make it to the Rally - I've got many new varaibles to juggle right now. Quantico is 128 miles to Staunton, so worst I see is I arrive on Friday now. I'm down here with the Caravel Paul, and I just repacked the road side wheel bearing as it was getting warm on the pull down from NY. How many people are coming?

Rob

I have a feeling Captain Motivation might issue you special order papers forcing you to report to Staunton Va on that thursday.

Many will me joining us!

Last check, we had 35-40 Airstream trailers/MOHO/B-Vans. Plus, we have 4 units coming from Tin Can Tourist, an Avion Slide In, Tear Drop, etc....

After today, the campground will "release" the remaining sites I have on hold to any SOB that comes along. It does not mean you can not still sign up, it's just the longer you wait, the less chance you will have of getting in and parking with the group.

Chime in

I just spent the last hour reading the entire thread on this shindig. I figured that after I agreed to this, that maybe I should at least read what is going on. Paul, you are doing a bang up job with this, I am sure that we are going to have a good time. Axles, I have replaced axles on a 74 31', a 65 Caravelle and of course a 56 overlander in the past 10 months, so if ya'll need a hand with your axle seminar I will be more than happy to help out. Happy Hour, always a good idea!

I look forward to meeting ya'll and absorbing any and all ideas for our '56.

We're getting close

Over59,

Thanks for that information, I had not seen nor heard about that festival. It's just one of many things to do in the Valley that weekend. From caves, to waterparks, Natural Bridge to the Skyline Drive there's a little bit of everything here in the Valley to do.

My wife has also started to purchase the crafts for kids to do, Sand Art to painting on backpacks and different games. I'm wanting for the kids to make an "Airstream Pinata" (the only Airstream ever to be busted up on purpose).

Hope to see everyone there,

Geocaching anyone?

There are 54 geocaches located within a 10 mile radius around Verona, VA. We hope to add a few of these to our "found" list!

Actually, it will be the second Airstream...

The first Airstream that I know of that was "busted up on purpose" was on Smash Labs. Such a sad event.

As of today, 44 rigs!

Just a FYI, I got the phone call today from the campground letting me know they would be releasing the last 9 sites that were on hold to the general public. I was told we have a total of 44 units signed up for the rally!!!

I want to "Thank" all of you guys/gals for helping make it happen. The key now will be for good weather. Also, my wife is working on a few things that people can do that are not into the Trailer Buff and Axle Swaps. She's looking into some group rates on places to go and the things for the kids to do. I need to "Thank" MaryKim for stepping up and helping out on this one.

44 Units!!!!

I haven't done much geocaching lately, but maybe I'll be inspired to log a few on this trip.

44 Units

Paul,

This is a great number for a first time... heck, we only had 43 units at the CBR this year. I think around 50 is the perfect number for a rally... I am looking forward to it Paul - I'll parade in with my flags a flying... your
VAC 3rd Vice President will be present since it's only 130 miles from Quantico. Let me know if you need any help.
