Last minute cancellation

I just received a last minute cancellation on site number W34. This is a water-only site which can accommodate a trailer up to 25' in length. Let me know ASAP if you know of someone who might be interested in joining us for the weekend for 3 nights (Fri, Sat & Sun). If I don't have someone to take the site by Wednesday, I plan on canceling the reservation.

Kayak racks

Pat,
We bought the Thule Hull a ports. I already had a Thule rack on the car so we didn't want to switch brands. The new A.R.E. cap that we got for the Titan has a SportRack on it and we could of used either the Yakima or the Thule. Can't wait to get the yaks up on the truck and take a few pics to post. Here is the site where we got the racks from. It was the cheapest one around when we were googling a few weeks back. http://www.orsracksdirect.com/orsrac...thule-835.html

Thanks for the kayak lead. I will need the feet and everything, but I like the look of yours.

Seems silly but

We'll be washing our Airstream in the rain on Thursday so that we are ready to be seen at the rally on Friday.

How 'bout the nice low temps, colder this morning than it was on New Years Day. Gotta love New England, where else can you have winter wind chills in the 30's a couple days before the official start to the summer season on the Cape.

Hope you won't have to be de-iced before takeoff.

The weather's a pain. We had hoped to be able to work on the trailer more last weekend and this week, but it just didn't happen. As this point, we'll be able to come Saturday to meet folks at the BBQ, but we won't have a trailer ready to sleep or cook in, or any heat for inclimate (er, I mean atypical N.E. spring) weather.

Why do you have a tarp on your Airstream?

After 40 hours of polishing and applying a coat of wax I could not bare the thought of rain hitting it before we have at lease one outing with it. I literally put the polisher down and it started to rain Saturday (last)
Not to mention that demented bird that attacked it! That was the strangest thing that I've ever had happen. You'll see the marks!

So, I guess you will be towing it down the highway with the tarp on this weekend!

On a more serious note, it is dangerous to tarp your airstream because the finish can get damaged from the tarp rubbing against the trailer in the wind.

It's Windy? I have no clear coating, it has been stripped off. I can touch up the aluminum clad in pretty short order. (Cyclo)
I just check our Met tower at work, we have a sustained 25 MPH wind with gusts to 48 MPH. (Seabrook NH) We are about a mile from the Reservation.
Boy I hope this moves off by the weekend!

Not looking good for us. My propane heater doesn't work. We use a small electric heater. The site has no electric. I just talked to the park and generators have to be turned off at 10pm, earlier if complaints. I'll have to consult with the Boss about three nights without heat and temps in the damp low 50's. I'll try to replace the pilot on the Hydroflame, but it isn't looking good.

The seasons of New England, Deep Winter, late winter, end of winter, summer, beginning of winter, early winter, deep winter.
