We have reservations for saturday and sunday nights!
I've been trying to stay low-key......if the weather is going to be crappy the whole time, we may not go...

I'm trying to hold off on any decisions, hoping that the weather forecast will improve.

We really do want to go, though.

Any comprehensive list of potluck plans? And if we all know what the other guy is bringing, is it really a potluck?

Oh, did I mention we'll be in the '62 Avion....again?

I hope you make it. We are all in the same boat with the weather. Looks like cool, cloudy, but not continuous rain.

Exclamation Packing up my woolies and wine!

We are hoping to leave New Boston before 2:00pm, should arrive at the campground by 4:00pm (depending on the holiday traffic).

I don't even care if it rains, we should have a good time anyway.

Do you realize that this weather has been since September with a few short breaks. Sun's out right now. Leaving for the Rally....

Seaside rally update (rally in progress)

I snuck home today (Sunday) to check on our flooded basement and thought I would just post a "rally-in-progress" report. The steady rain stopped on Friday and Saturday was actually hot! We ended up with 29 trailers but have yet to see "funchucky". We had numerous mis-adventures over the course of the last three days including one broken foot, Great Dane and his owner sprayed by a skunk, 100-cup coffee maker shorted out, and electrical system problems but everyone is having a great time. We wish you were here!

I just finished seeing the whale watch crew take off for their 4-hour cruise into the Atlantic (see pic below). The word is the watch yesterday saw over a dozen whales so I'm sure there will be tales to tell when they come back.

I did a quick page for the Rally. If any one has any digital pics they can send me please feel free, I will post them and start working on a story for the adventure. (sorry I did not get all the Campsites)
Go figure there is thunder and lightning and it is POURING HERE!

Thanks for a good time!

Even though we only made it to the BBQ it was great to meet the forum folks and also the New England unit members who don't participate in the forums. What a great group of Airstreamers! Nancy & hubby did a heroic job putting it all together and continuing on even after Yuki's injury. A toast to the hosts!

Thanks for the toast! It was great to finally put a face to the forum name! BTW, you guys won the whale watch scavenger hunt contest! I gave your prize to Jean Bratton who indicated she knows your mother so will pass the prize along. You only got 1.5 answers wrong on the contest. Great job! Congratulations!

oh, and I should add...Nancy didn't miss a beat, after an injury that would have sent most of us home.

well...would've sent ME home.

we were having such a good time, we couldn't leave, even after the 11:00 am kick-out time. so we had an "after-rally" over in one of the large beach parking lots. had a nice, relaxing lunch, extended our time with friends, and....avoided the huge lines at the dump station. (when we finally did leave, on our way out, a nice short wait. )

Thanks everyone

Another wonderful rally with a lot of very warm hearts. I can't say enough good things about all the rally members of New England Unit, and other Region 1 members who attended this outting.

DEO-thanks again for playing the guitar.

Over59-my family enjoyed volunteering with you & Jane at the food line.

M&M- what a difference you made to customizing your 2002 tt, it should
really enter a contest! Also had a lot of fun volunteering with you at
the Saturday breakfast. You & 1st President CB kept those pancakes
a coming.

dougjamie-my older daughter thought your two daughters are soooo sweet.

Pam- won 1st prize in the appetizer contest (The prize an appetizer book)

balgrn-welcome to the New England Unit, and thanks so much for the signs
you made up for all of us. Had we posted them on our trailors, this is
the looks we would have gotten
But........ we all thought they were GREAT!

myboyburt- it was very nice meeting your parents at their very 1st rally. A
very nice addition to the New England Unit. Thanks to Leon for
making two wonderful apple pies for potluck. Without him there
wouldn't have been any dessert.

Yukionna-a well planned rally. Sorry you hurt your ankle. You made your
injury matter-of-fact and kept the rally going. What a LEADER!
Thanks for everything!

53FlyingCloud-it was very nice meeting you. You definitely need to join
us all at future rallies, and set up "How To Do" Meetings to
share your knowledge and experience with all of us, we'd
all love that! Hopefully we changed Nancy's thoughts on
coming to rallies!

Well......I could go on and on, but really want to thank you ALL for a great time.

Thanks again,
Gail

Smile Got back to a foot long lawn

Is that my lawn?? First thing we had to do when we got home was mow the lawn. I guess that's what happens when it rains for a week. Mark and I had a great time. It was good to put faces to names and we can't wait to see a few of you again at Scussett. I'd jump on those two open spots if you're interested and haven't made the plans yet.
Nancy thanks for all of your work. For all the others we met and enjoyed time with, we look forward to our next time together. Balgrn count us in, we checked out your site and can't wait to spend a weekend up there with you.
