Any wireless?
Does anyone know if there will be wireless connectivity at the rally?

Magic Chef Oven and Par/Jasco Water Pump
Hi. We are going to be at the Region One rally and wonder if anyone would like our original Magic Chef oven, and Par/Jasco Water pump from our 1977 Minuet. Both work, the water pump is noisy and the oven is in rough shape cosmetically. Didn't know if there was anyone out there who likes to rebuild original equipment. Let me know and we will bring them to the rally.

Ahhh, but this event is once in a lifetime! We feel completely blessed to have purchased our first Airstream just in time to celebrate with this group and simply can't wait for the 17th!
Enjoy your revitupracing event. The website is pretty cool!

Bring it along. The vintage folks are always swapping parts and things during rallies. I am interested in the oven for my '54 Airstream.

I saw that too. I also noticed that the extended forecast, through Sunday, August 21 is nothing but sunny skies! Woohoo!

How do I know what goes into the flea market, and what goes into the auction? I've never done this before...
I've got some nice old Melmac dinnerware that I thought some vintage folks might want. Auction, or flea market??

That's easy to answer...it boils down to...
For auction materials -- you donate the goods and the proceeds go to NEU
For flea market goods -- you keep the proceeds
The flea market is being held on Saturday morning.

Melmac auction it is then. If anybody sees something here they like, bid it up and make check to WBCCI-NEU!

Praise for rally hosts

I know I should wait on this, but I just can't contain myself...I wanted to offer up a hearty pre-rally "kudos" and "thanks" to our rally hosts, Earl and Pam. I have only seen bits and pieces of what is turning out to be a spectacular rally event. The amount of planning, organization and just plain hard work is all coming together for the benefit of WBCCI, Region One and the Region One rally participants. When you see Earl or Pam, be sure to recognize them and give them their well-earned praise!

Making my trip to Trader Joes to p.u. the gift bag for the Tin Chef and then I should be ready to pack up the truck. Filled it up with gas the other day so we should be good to go. Made a few fuzzy flip flops for the raffle the other day. Still no lighting theme although I'm thinking maybe I could go with a "Just Lighting" theme to go with the "Just Camping" theme.

Us too but we are now re-thinking our original design now that hubby has finished polishing the Bambi II.
The finish is so clear that you will need to have your sunglasses on to view our trailer during the day!

LOL! This is because I now have a 2GB card in my camera and can go weeks without having to pull the card. I will pull the card today, just for you, and post a photo to my Bambi II restoration thread.
On another note, we are are towing two Airstreams to Region One -- the Bambi II for us to use and the 2002 Bambi for Russ and Dot to use. Of course, being the the "proud parents" that we are with regards to the completion of the Bambi II, we both wanted to tow the Bambi II to the rally. We used the timeless technique of a simple coin toss to see who would get to tow the Bambi II. You will have to wait until the rally to see who won.

I'm secretly hoping that Dot and Russ will back out at the last minute, so you can tow my trailer up there w/ the other truck.
Its currently stranded in the lot of those thieves, just down the road from you. I'm going back over there later to rescue it. Don't know if it'll be fixed by next weekend. My honest local mechanic is busy...
Maybe I could tow it with a bicycle, like in that old promotion....
I could get that "Tour de France" guy. He's plenty juiced, and I hear he's looking for work....

Man...I'm getting really excited reading all your posts. I'm down here in Rehoboth, DE on vacation stressing from separation anxiety! I can't wait to get home and start packing up...it's going to be cram time for the lighting display.
See you all in a week!

WANTED: old bath towels and sheets
If you have any old cotton bath towels, sheets or t-shirts lying around, please consider bringing them to the Region One rally to donate to the polishing team. Right now, the team consists of Andre, Brian and Leon. Andre will also be conducting his always-popular polishing demo during the vintage house being held between 2-4 on Saturday.
