Myboyburt -- same here. My greatest culinary accomplishment with the camper so far is figuring out where to stow the granola container so we at least have a cold breakfast in the morning. Maybe we could just go off in the corner with a bottle of French wine and a couple of glasses and pretend that we were whipping up some fine cuisine to go with it.

dougjamie, that's a great plan!

And at the Region One Rally we will not have to drink our "water" out of red plastic cups! Some french bread, fine cheese and wine sounds like a complete and balanced meal to me.

Absolutely! The basic food groups are all represented. No need to mess around with fire. A good cutting knife and a bottle opener is all I need.

You forgot to mention good company. Makes even the simplest meals the most memorable. Looking forward to all that good company. I promise I will try to not to wear my wine. It will be nice not to have to drink it in disguise.

Wink This goes without saying!

Belonging to the New England Unit/WBCCI and being able to get to know all the great folks who are involved in the club has been the best thing about being an Airstreamer (at least it is for me!).

What wine goes with "French Fries" Only kidding I hope to think of something really yummy to bring. Some Pate would be nice with those little pickles (can't remember what they are called) M$M I think I saw the french bistro your daughter works at on t.v. They had some awesome menu items. Maybe we could get a recipe or two from them?

Hey Everyone,
I've just talked with Mark's aunt who was the food editor of a New Jersey newspaper for a number of years and is of french decent. I asked her to see if she could go through her recipes and put together some that would be adaptable to our potluck. If I get them before next week's rally I'll bring them up.

Wink Let's keep it simple and fun

Why don't we make it easier for all concerned and kept it simple, good French wines, cheeses, baguettes, croissants, pate, fresh fruit, etc. We don’t want anyone to feel they have to spend too much time preparing food, it should be fun. If we dress our tables with a cloth and candles and bring a wine/beverage of our choice it will be a very nice time.

Time is running out!

Attention AS Friends,

On behalf of the host Claude Boucher, I would like to announce that it is urgent for all to register now and send in monies due. He would like an exact tt count to make final plans.

Traditionally many folks wait to the last minute to register! BUT, this is not fair to the host. So.........................come on all and register now!!!!!!!!!

If anyone wants confirmation that Claude received their check, contact me for I have the whole list of registered tts, sent to me by Claude.

Thanks all,
Gail

"French Bristo Sidewalk Cafe"

Join us for a "French Bistro Sidewalk Cafe" night, Thursday August 25th. Bring your own tables, chairs and food in true "Bistro" style and dine with your New England Unit friends. Celebrate Canadian and French culture. Location and time to be announced/posted at the rally site.

Well folks.........we are warming up again for another fun event, so come join the fun!

Cheers,

Do we know what the current count is?

Hey Gail,

Did Caude say how many are currently registered?

Also, I saw in the Airstream Life Vintage Thunder blog that they are planning to be there so we will all have the chance to tour his upgraded/restored Argosy (Airstream Life project for this year). Vintage Thunder also acts as a WIFI site! Too cool!

Exclamation Gee Balgrn, I'll let you borrow one of mine

I've got two lighted tacky birds waiting to fly north to Quebec. Also have 4 tacky plastic lawn birds waiting to grace the outside of "The Tube" at the Region One Rally. Really looking forward to this adventure!

I purchased a bunch of pink flamingoes and sold them to members at the Scusset Beach Rally. Try either The Christmas Tree Shop or BJ's if you are interested.

I believe there should be at least 9-11 birds if all travel to Canada!
